Shahbaz Ahmed- I don't know too much about him, but RCB have always struggled with Indian depth.

Sorry, should've mentioned QdK finishing mandatory quarantine rather than him being fit. He played for SA against Pakistan on the 4th, so this game was too early for him.
lol u read that post in reddit where news was posted how SA board let them leave and comment section was like icc should overtake ipl and it's unfair for pak😆 also I read last min aus tour was cancelled hence sa came to pak

Think SA were always supposed to tour Pakistan, but them confirming the tour essentially meant the PCB had to reciprocate in some form, and when Aus cancelled citing Covid, the PCB said yes to touring SA.
Ordinarily SA would not have played cricket in April, so their players were given an IPL NOC before the Aus tour got cancelled and the Pakistan tour was arranged as a stop gap.
Australia and England tours being cancelled was a big blow to Cricket South Africa, who aren't very well off financially. Think some part of the player's IPL money goes to the SA board too!

Jansen- hasn't played for South Africa at all, IPL debut today before international one.
Du Plessis- quasi retired
Tahir- same as Du Plessis
Morris- last international game 2 years ago, wouldn't even have played it if some other SA player hadn't got injured. But is the richest guy in the IPL.
Waise SA-Pak was a nice watch. Three pretty good ODI games.
