You're all aware of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki bombings and the kind of impact it had on the world not just Japan.

So I thought there was a universal consensus on what U.S did to be a horrific act devoid of humanity especially on dropping the second bomb after seeing the effects of the first bomb and I kind of assumed that they regret for what they did

But was actually surprised to know that, U.S has not officially apologized for their actions till date and still justify it,

I was eager to know what their justification was and I came across an interview with the guy who dropped one of the atom bomb and also other pieces of information in the internet

It seems Japanese that time werent the nice people that we know of them today. They too committed horrific gross acts against humanity like Rape of Nanking, bombing Pearl Harbour(which was their obvious reason) and many such acts when it was an Imperialistic country ruled by an Emperor. So the only intention they had at that time was to subdue Japan

Also during that time, if they dint have to use that bomb, they had to do a land invasion using their navy to surround them on all sides. But this would have made the toll to double. So bomb was their best option. As for second bomb being dropped,it seems its because they dint surrender(there are different theories on Japanese surrender which I think I may need another post on that, which I'm not going to do 😆)

Also there is another story how Japan was driven to attack Pearl Harbour and US just used it as a poor excuse

But the larger point I was making was on Japanese people being nice, idha pathi sollumodhu, thought of sharing this

(Pardon me, I like defense related discussions)

Bold part, similar opinion was there during Twin Towers attack as well, knew it beforehand but let it happen (maybe the flight hijacking part alone)

Hope no country will face this trauma ever .. because no country is like japan .. who bounced back from their tragic fate..

+1

This i can relate and do feel bad for them,we stay near tarapur, where one of largest nuclear plant is located + Second largest MIDC..Partly situated under water, ground and on land despite all measures it still emites little radiation...Though its located 5 km away from natural habitant its radiation still affects their employees + local people who are not ready to relocate...

We felt the tension in 90's when there was rift between india & pakistan where tight security was put in tarapur also they cut off power whenever they carry some materials at night..

There's a difference

Na solra situation yepdi na - US have created a situation where they know could be attacked and they were waiting for that to happen

they imposed an embargo and naval blockade

In that situation Japan could not do any sort of trade and were starved. Thus Japan had to do a preemptive strike.

So according to some people, this was something that US was waiting for Japan to do,so that they could attack Japan

But timing of the strike happened before declaring war it seems

Neenga solra situation, US dint create that situation (unless you're a conspiracy theorist) and they might have haf info backed by intelligence but it may not be an actionable intelligence.
