This thread😆 I just read through the last few pages and its amazing how so many youngsters these days face similar issues. Cynicism, escapism, fear, pessimism, vicariously living through films and shows etc. I think its that stage of your life cos for me personally, marriage scares me. And the thought of having to leave my parents is terrifying cos am a single child. And I know I have to face it cos its inevitable..And social media or movies is not the solution..Trust me on that..The more time you spend on social media, the more you get depressed..Its almost a subconscious process cos you don't even realize it..And the more you discuss shows or analyze them or get invested in celebs, the more you are likely to get depressed..And thats the last thing you want..Cos we have enough problems 😆The best way to deal with this is spend more time in real life, talking to real people, reading books, exercise etc. Reading books is the best IMO..Any time you feel depressed/feel the need to get distracted, pick up a great book..Sure shot way to get distracted..Social media is just not the solution..I remember seeing this IV of Ranbir where he was asked why he stays off social media and his answer really resonated with me (he probably still stalks but thats not the point 😆)..He said ppl really get sucked into it, start putting up fake personas, vicariously live through their online personality, feel the need to put up a really happy facade when in reality they only end up getting more depressed..Its been a while since am convinced internet, TV, social media etc. have been a major cause of most problems..They long ceased to be good timepass..
