All of you asked me about my patient who committed suicide .

I have to follow Hippa regulations.

In brief . This was young lady with two kids , happily married .

She had car accident. Bad head on collision. She was driver , one of her kid was killed .

Her accident resulted in head trauma followed by memory loss .

For long time she did not recognise her family or parents ,

Long treatment and lot of hard work she recovered .

At that time I was very active in " memory impairment "research .

She was my patient ,.

I had invested lots of hours got to know her family and emotionally very close to her .

She was becoming very dependent on me and I had to cut ties .

she was not my patient so under US law I was not supposed to keep in touch .

She was funtioning well . I was getting Emails from her .

But her relationship with her husband never got better . He blamed her child's death ..

She wanted to have another child but she couldn't . She never recover from this .. I suspect she went in depression never seek for help and she ended her life .

Quite a few years ago, my family had also planned a trip to Mantralaya...the Swami Raghavendra Math. But there were some floods and it was very difficult to reach Mantralaya.

Tungabhadra, right? I think the river was in spate, if I remember correctly.

Shwetha , my sister started with then in US and later for one year they asked for transfer to Mumbai office in Pawai . They were not happy in India . Long hours of work is reality in any American company but they pay well no they treat their employees with respect . Benefits are good and working conditions are great .

Now they no longer work for company . Both of them still work for long hours we never get to see each other .

She pulled child from his arm to take him for shopping , kid did not want to go and he cried . Child was not in car seat , no seat belt and he was sitting on front passenger seat . I US this is illegal. Till child is 8 yrs old he must be in car seat . This was police case and he had to deal with it . So his lack of support is just . Do I agree ? No offcouse not . I think they had arranged marriage and love was missing it was need base marriage.

Very sad story .
