One thing is its not his home production thing like Billu,neither his friend thing like Dulha Mil gaya,Gauri had this script,Karan got interested and Gauri said she would love to take Shah Rukh in that role and then he liked it and Red chillies joined a sa production team.Gauri has hardly any connection with shah Rukh where he will do a role for the sake of friendship.Its more like as Karan got interested It was easy for Gauri to approach Shah Rukh,nothing more than that.

God why her name had to be Gauri!😆

And if the trailer we saw of DMG was filled with Shah Rukh then its obvious that it was promoted saying that he is in the movie.

But personally I would have wztched dear zindagi even if Shah Rukh was not there.And I also feel it will be a good role though small.And when I know he will not be there for more than 30 minutes then I will not call him lead neither will I expect him to be lead when no one said he is a lead.

I won't understand that analogy hhh because I haven't seen the Batman series man. Dear Zindagi wouldn't be Dear Zindagi if there's no therapist man! 😆 The dialogue is between Alia's character and her therapist man. Even if Shahrukh wasn't cast in it, I'd say the role of the therapist is as essential to the movie as the role of Alia man. Even though I have not watched it. What you stated reminded me of something a non Shahrukh fan stated in the Dear Zindagi thread. The person was basically saying how generous Aamir is as an actor that he decided to take up the role of the teacher in TZP! And some of us were like there's no TZP without Aamir's character...lol! The movie is essentially about the kid and the bond he shares with his teacher. So the importance of the role doesn't always depend on the screentime a character has. It depends on how integral that role is in the overall storyline.

Looks like Anushka hasn't started filming yet. Can't wait to see her look for the movie. Too effing excited for this project.
