Here's the thing though by assuming his PR didn't do much , we're assuming that Shahrukh wanted them to do much but they still didn't. They are getting paid by him so obviously they'll take the approach that he prefers...right? This notion that releasing some articles would have helped is something I don't agree with. Here's a man who is speaking on things that are happening all around you but how you interpret that depends on your ideology. When the ideology is of a certain kind then no amount of articles could have controlled that bigotry. And like I stated there were media channels out there whipping up the hysteria so a few articles out there explaining what he said ,would have done nothing. Because if you need an explanation then you already are someone who believes in a certain ideology. Shahrukh was asked about it in so many interviews while he was promoting the movie , did he not explain himself? Of course he did. The only thing he didn't do was apologize which is what these bigots wanted. Had he apologized , I'm sure the protests wouldn't have been to extent they were. And I'm glad he didn't because there was absolutely nothing to apologize for.

As for the trolls , they were anyways getting reported and replied to by the fans out there.

Then Shahrukh needs to rusticate his PR period😆 I mean if they cannot do anything in such a situation, they he shouldn't have a PR at all.. whats the point?😆 In that case, I agree with Warrior.. Muft mein bills pay karne se acha hai, let go off the PR completely.. I repeat.. the general audience and quite a bit of it had no idea what was going.. All they knew was what the news channels were showing them.. it was only in NDTV IV that Shah directly addressed the issue which was aired on TV.. rest were mostly internet videos which many people did not see.. you need to put the word out there and if Shahrukh did not want to present his side of the story, then sorry but he is an idiot.. I do not mean he should have apologized but the general audience needed to know at the right time that he was being misinterpreted and I don't think his PR did that at the right time..

And why should the fans be the ones reporting the trolls.. its not what they are supposed to do.. Its what his PR team was supposed to do.. Fans reporting takes time for action.. an official team reporting gets the work done quickly.. Hell the fake IDs of Taran and Komal were functional till the very end of DW till the damage was done

He gave three interviews. One to Rajdeep Sardesai from Headlines Today , there is an english and hindi version of that interview. And one to Barkha from NDTV. He answered the questions that were put to him. It's a whole another issue if there are bigots out there who will take it to a level where a person acknowledging what's happening in the society is being termed as "anti-national" for expressing an opinion. What could have his PR done to counter such a preposterous narrative? His interview wasn't one that lacked clarity. So what could have they clarified? The fact that he's a patriot? Does that even need an explanation? And the general audience consists of all kinds of people. There are people who absolutely agreed with what he said and then there are those who thought he was being "anti national". There's no way an article or a few could have convinced them as they are the ones who think there's absolutely nothing wrong in what's happening in the society. Plenty of us went there to watch the movie but law and order is not something his PR is in charge of. The cops should have taken action against those who were threatening theater owners , who were getting shows cancelled.

Twitter has its own policy too that they follow when it comes to suspending accounts so I'm not really sure if Mandvi or someone from his team reporting them could have made the procedure quick. But if it could have then I agree with you on that point.

And to settle this face off between Raees and Kaabil, Shah Rukh seems to have visited Hrithik's house today. According to Pinkvilla, SRK wanted to talk things out with Hrithik and so the superstar was spotted at Hrithik's Juhu house. The two chatted for about 5 hours, after which SRK left.Shah Rukh Khan also confirmed this piece of information when he tweeted, "Met friend/mentor/family after many a days.Mr. R.Roshan reminded me...it's not important to do 2 much, it's important to get 1 right. Thx sir."

5 hours of conversation is a lot and we hope that they might have negotiated a way out so that both the films get a good release and both the films do well. However, SRK did not mention if any conclusion was reached. We will have to wait and watch for either of them to make an announcement.

Sunny Leone wooing Shah Rukh Khan in "Raees" would be a sight to behold. Unfortunately, the makers are snipping it off, but only from the prints that are to be released in Pakistan.

According to a Deccan Chronicle source, the team believes that the item number would be too much for the audience across the border. "Raees has a deep Pakistan connection. The film's leading lady Mahira Khan is from Pakistan and the protagonist is a Muslim businessman. The makers feel that Sunny's sequence may be a little risque for the Pakistani audience," the insider further added.

Sunny came into picture much later, almost when the "Raees" unit was winding up their project. Shah Rukh and the producers felt that the film was missing a zing. That was when they decided to rope in the "One Night Stand" actress as leading lady's Mahira Khan's character is too "sedate to be seductive."

In the crime-drama, Shah Rukh and Sunny will be seen matching steps to "Laila O Laila," the chartbuster from the 1980s, starring Zeenat Aman and Feroz Khan.

"Raees is set in the '80s and there was need of a song sequence. The makers unanimously selected "Laila O Laila" which perfectly fits with the dark, gangster theme and period. It was suggested to Shah Rukh and it was his idea to get Sunny on board," an insider informed Mumbai Mirror a few months ago.

Scheduled to release on Jan. 26, 2017, Rahul Dholakia's "Raees" will see Shah Rukh and Mahira pair up for the first time. Although the team has wrapped up shoot, the superstar said he will reshoot some of the action sequences as it didn't turn out the way he would have liked.
