Karan would have never thought there would be so much in depth discussions about this movie of all😆

cheating is wrong no matter what... its not about being idealistic.. it is about principals so I agree with you on that.. But I tend to look for the bigger picture.. I mean, why did they cheat.. was it juts because they were idiots and unfaithful or there is more to it.. I judge people based on the circumstances leading to their actions.. like in this case, i hate them for cheating but I do get why.. thats why I said I would have preferred had they not slept together and juts decided to separate from their respective partners when they realized their feelings.. but ofcourse that would have been too straightforward for the movie😆

Watched this scene yesterday and wanted to post it here. It's another one of my favorite scenes from the movie. The whole bit from when he's waiting for her at the bus stop to the part where he realizes his mistake...sigh. The part where he asks her did you really not eat anything and Juhi's expression after it and his reaction to it...damn. I'm quite black and white when it comes to cheating. Like you said it's about principles. The thing is every relationship has its ups and downs and in the case of KANK, it was even more complicated as some of them married their partners despite knowing from the beginning they didn't love them so of course it was doomed from right there. For me no matter what the circumstances is, you always have the choice of being open and honest and ending things with dignity. But there'd be no movie had that happened..lol. That's what I meant by being idealistic because in this day and age the route I'm talking about would be referred to as that.

Karan showed cheating was wrong.He showed it in black and white manner.He didn't justify cheating and hence he focused on their rings when they got involved physically.Dev got slapped by his wife and they didn't take Dev Maya back in their life.That says a lot how cheaters should be treated like.

But eventually Preity and Abhi's character moved on and they were so good at heart that they helped Dev and Maya which increased the respect for those characters more.People loathed dev and Maya but they actually got together at the end so it was ok.

I was talking more from a personal view point there that for me it's quite black and white no matter what the circumstances are. I don't think the film glorified cheating so that's definitely not what I was trying to say. It was in response to yamyam's post on the last page where considering circumstances was mentioned. It's to that statement that I said that no matter what the situation is being open, honest and ending things with dignity is s choice that lies with everyone involved in such situations. Not that it would have been apt for the film..lol considering there'd be no film then.
