I was talking more from a personal view point there that for me it's quite black and white no matter what the circumstances are. I don't think the film glorified cheating so that's definitely not what I was trying to say. It was in response to yamyam's post on the last page where considering circumstances was mentioned. It's to that statement that I said that no matter what the situation is being open, honest and ending things with dignity is s choice that lies with everyone involved in such situations. Not that it would have been apt for the film..lol considering there'd be no film then.

Oh...I think it was definitely a very brave choice! I remember Shahrukh and Karan actually being on NDTV show and being questioned over it. Like there was a whole audience there and it was a panel sort of a discussion. So I do think as an actor it was extremely gutsy of them to take on such roles. And you're again bang on with what you stated regarding his roles in Darr or Baazigar and that one can overlook that but not what his character did in KANK. I think no matter how many justifications are given for such situations, you would still judge it from where you personally stand on such issues. At least that's what I feel which is why the reactions to such topics are extreme too. Where as with movies like Darr and Baazigar you will judge it from the point of view of the character as well as the storyline. At least that's my humble opinion of it.

How I wish they hadn't shown cheating.. had they juts showed that when they realized that they had feelings for each other and their marriages were not going anywhere, they separated from there spouses, the movie would have been digestible.. cheating just made any kind of sympathy for the characters impossible as everything else got overshadowed
