I was so excited about IP3. I really was. Even though I didn't like the new female lead I still decided to give it a try. Sadly from the very first episode it was a disaster waiting to explode.

I want to watch Ek Deewana Tha. That looks intriguing. I was watching Yeh In Dinon Ki Baat Hai, found it quite refreshing. I am sad, disappointed , angry that Gul ruined it for her loyal viewers. She didn't respect the audience the very audience that made her shows so popular. The audience isn't a fool. Such a high-handedness, total disregard for her audience, and not to mention the lousy plot. Total bheja fry! I hope she takes the input and rises up from the ashes and reinvents her shows and shows respect to her 'intelligent' audience.

P.S. Ishqbaaz is starting on Star Utsav. Is it worth a watch?

I believe EDT will commence first week of October at 10 pm. Sony has such a great line-up. I am planning on watching EDT and Haasil. Haasil has the better promos while EDT had the weakest promo out of all the new Sony shows. EDT will have to be very careful. Such shows can become a cringe-fest real fast. Adhura Alvida on Colours is the other show I am interested in.

Do not watch Ishqbaaz. It's nothing great. Same old Gul characters. Same old problems. Acting not too good either.

IPK3 shutting down...but I don't think Gul Khan learns any lessons...actually nowadays producers and channel dont bother anything...so many serials are in line up..

I don't like neither Ek deewana tha or Haasil promo...but I will try EDT for Namik...I like him a lot..I m really waiting for prithvi Ballav of Ashish SHarma...he is very good actor..best in telly...

I think Barun's comeback which was scrapped earlier would have been better for him. That finite show called "Satya ki Kiran."

Glad Star Plus decided to shut IPK3 down. Sony is trying to rebrand itself and is putting out new and unique products such as "Ek Deewana Tha," "Haasil," "Porus," and "Yeh Unn Dinon Ki Baat Hai." All of which look really interesting. Along with creating it's own original limited series content (Netflix style) such as "Prithvi Vallabh" which looks incredible btw.

Colours which usually has lame, regressive content is also gearing up to present a couple of interesting shows, "Adhura Alvida" and "Ishq Mein Marjawan." On top of that it already has the biweekly show "Dev" on air which is different too.

Then we have Star Plus...it has shutdown the afternoon shows but kept "Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piya ji." This leaves them with only 3 shows which are a good watch, are different, and progressive to an extent. Everything else is just ugh.

Hiru, watch Rishton Ka Chakravyuh from the beginning very very interesting. It's the exact opposite of IPK 3.

Hi ladies! What is this I am hearing! Fandom revolt had lead to a show going off air? Incredible power! 😆

Anyway, I wanted to ask about Tere Ishq Mein Mar Jawan and not about Ek Deewana Tha. Apologies for getting them mixed up. Ek Deewana Tha will be a disaster. Indian Television can't pull it off. I have high expectations from Tere Ishq Me Mar Jawan. It seems intriguing. I want a 'bad romance' on telly. We are constantly being misled by the soppy happily ever after romances. We do need a wake up call because not all romances end with a happily ever after. Women, specially the impressionable young minds need to know the other side of romance, the 'darker' side. Not the IPK3 kind 'darker' or even 50 shades kind but just a reality check in terms of an abusive relationships.

Having said that, can anyone please tell me when the show is starting? No one watches Hindi telly in our house so my knowledge is pretty limited. Kindly enlighten this Bengali soul.

Hiru - I have watched RKC here and there. If I come across it while flipping channels I tune in. Problem is I don't like the female lead, Mahima. Someone who has a better screen presence and acting talent would have elevated the show.

Onu - I feel you about EDT. Found it to have the weakest promo from all the new Sony shows. My main issue was the decaying ghost. Should have stuck with a normal looking ghost but instead they gave Namik black demon eyes a la Supernatural, and a decaying body like it's some zombie movie. I am interested in seeing how they tackle this since Indian telly has a tendency to make such stories cringe worthy. There was a recent weird movie called "Ek Haseena thi Ek Deewana Tha" of which I only saw the trailer and this show EDT reminded me of that.

Ishq Mein Marjawan reminded me of a show called "Main Naa Bhoolungi" from a few years ago.

Anyways, Ishq Mein Marjawan has already started. It commenced on Wednesday.
