Are we making Arjuna's father some sage?

I think he should be some king of some place which is kind of a scientific hub for weapons and chemicals

or else how will we write Indralokagaman parva later

Devi Vaishampayan, as the topic of Arjun's father arises, I would like to know about my father too 😆 so far the decision is made that it should be a sage, but we cannot bring him back as the examiner yaksha at the end of Van Parva. Yaksha should be a mad genius here. So, can you please give some idea about it?

My suggestions are:-

1)Once kunti realizes she is pregnant and will give birth to the baby but cant keep it she wants to do something that will protect the baby in this harsh world.So she goes to this Rishi Durvasa and tells him that she knows he has some knowledge of making an impenetrable armour he must give it to her or else she will tell her father what he did.Of course its a bluff she isn't actually going to tell any one but Durvasa buys it and tells her.She asks some of her friends from the solar dynasty to help her make this armour in secret they make it and give it to her and she sends karna in a bastket with this armour and other jeweleries

This way we will keep the theme from the epic that Kunti asks for KK from surya dev to protect karna

2)If asking from Durvasa Rishi isn't ok then we can directly show her asking some prince of solar dynasty to help her get such a n armour so that she is sure karna will remain safe

3)Karna gets it sometime later in his life .But since its a deviation from the epic i wont prefer this one.Adiratha found him with the armour so we should keep it like that.Of course he wont be wearing the armour he will just have it in a basket

Regarding the bleeding when he gives it away,he can bleed either barbecue he cuts himself while taking it out or he actually completely destroys the armour and hence hurts himself

Whatever maximum people are ok with these or something else we can go with that

As Anu said, the bleeding doesn't have to be physical. He must have bled from the heart while giving it away since it is all he has of his true heritage

I think he is called Karna in the epic since the entire epic is in a flashback.Like its Vaishampayna telling Arjuna's grandson the story so by then every one knew him as Karna

I think Yudi's father should be some one who is synonymous with justice or a metaphor for justice

I think he can be a sage but a sage who has excelled in the field of laws that govern their yug, whom various kings etc come to when they need to know which is the right path of justice.

Since Pandu first wants a son who is virtuous and has good moral values he can take Kunti to this sage .Also since this sage himself is very knowledgeable he will be able to take Yudi's pariksha both the times at end of Vana parva and the epic.

Also since this sage has good connections with various kings he can ensure that non one finds out about pandvas during agyaatvaas.This will explain the boon Yudi's father gives him at end of the Yaksha pariksha

I like the second one! But how will the armour grow as he grows??
