Randomly watched the hospital hug episode...man, again if you go back and watch old scenes, the character consistency is surprising...


Back then Nandu was so torn up over how Manik got so self-destructive in his love and obsession for her and didn't even care about himself or his music...she blamed herself for all of that...

She goes, "You don't care about yourself, you don't care about anyone, you don't care about your hand, you don't care about your music..."

And he interrupts and goes, "But YOU care"...

That is ALL his focus was on then...and even now THAT is the reason he's so lost...he RELIED on HER to care...he's never known how to care about himself...it's not a thought that occurs to him naturally...Nandu was the only one he genuinely counted on to watch out for him even when he wouldn't and he feels let down over THAT.


Btw in that scene, his expression when she comes back to hug him and then kisses him on the cheek...that is the peace he's always yearning for...that is the need he's restless with again now cuz he's again been deprived of it by a twist of fate and his own determined gadhapan :P

Manik is crazy. His entire world revolves around her. She's the center of his universe. In fact, she is his entire universe. All he cares about is her, what she thinks. He needs to be with her, see her in front of his eyes 24/7 safe and sound. Nothing else matters. Hence, her worry.

The way she was holding onto him so tight and he had her engulfed in his arms. The way she fit so perfectly in his arms. Sigh. Babies Look how content and happy he looks to have her in his arms.

Word! And Manik just proves her worry right over and over again...is it any wonder then that she had a moment of doubt over how far he would go in trying to protect her?

Cuz he's proven again and again that when it comes to Nandu, the rest of the world might as well not exist for him...especially more so in the aftermath of the Dhruv revelation...he TRIES to sacrifice but all he ends up doing is just running after her even then.
