Oh man, I'm REALLY loving this scene on a second watch...

Just imagine...you literally put your life on the line to save someone and they turn around and say, "I'm not sure if you killed someone in the process"...imagine how that would GUT someone...let's keep that basis in mind even as we make allowances for the fact that Manik's history from other incidents does make him a viable candidate for this suspicion.

But at it's core, this very fact has gutted him...and I can't blame him for not being able to get over it...

And Poor Nandu...her "I thought we would fight this together, Manik" makes your heart go out to her...this poor, soft hearted baccha...the way she is by that point basically babbling over and over again that she was confused...and Manik can't take it anymore..."You were confused?"

That really would have been cruel, man...I hope they don't make Nandu go through that also...I hope she doesn't go desperate in her need to convince him and start babbling that she loves him...this is just not the time to say it anymore.

I just watched the episode again and I agree. Parth was actually good. The minute he walked in, that fake/cold smile throughout and when she says main sab kharab kardiya and he instantly cuts in and asks for dance with that fake smile on and it truly doesn't reach his eyes as you said. And then when they are dancing, he has his eyes closed and the minute she looks up he puts that fake smile on again.

The way he asked "phir bola kyun ni?" That actually hits me hard. It's the way he said it. And then her "I got confused" and that cold smile again. She keeps trying to explain herself as she tears up and he keeps bringing up the same question. "Then you believed I could kill Soha". Slowly, his anger seeping in.

But THE MOMENT was when she says everyone keeps saying that you love me so much..and his smile in that moment. AND THEN FINALLY HARSH COLD "kisne kaha that I love you" It was heart breaking but done SO SO WELL. Finally he starts showing his anger and when he asks her to answer in a simple yes or no. She still keeps blabbering and his anger keep rising and he breaks the plant next to them. Old monster Manik would have grabbed her, dug his nail in but this one took his anger out on that poor plant. But the main issue as we had said was her doubt. It doesn't mater who said what, it all comes down to her at the end. HER DOUBT. The fact that she doubted even for a moment that he could kill someone. And we all know he cannot take her thinking so low of him. He wants ehr to trust him the same was he trusts her. Absolute.

I don't think Nandini will try to stop him with her I love you. And I really hope she doesn't. I wouldn't be able to take such cruelty.

On a second watch, the scene felt like almost a perfect balance b/w Manik's coldness and Nandu's innocent tears...even as the tone gets more ominous with Manik's coldness increasing degree by degree, on the other end, Nandu's plight makes your heart go out to her as each harsh word from him unnerves her more and she just doesn't know how to go about fixing this.

And the way he gives her a cold look with raised eyebrows. GOD DAMN! That must be heart breaking for her. God knows how she managed to stand still. I would have crumbled down right there.
