Small farmers do not have a big area for forming. Due to increasing members in the family it may not give enough income to sustain a family coz family keeps increasing with time but piece of land does not. Moreover land itself does not remain very fertile after many years of farming. In our country many farmers do not try crop rotation and use to grow something out of habit and due to lack of knowledge too which tends to make land infertile. So for decreasing yields and growing family, many members of the family have to look for new jobs beyond farming. Will it not be better for them if they will get job in the factories established in the nearby areas instead of going to metros and increase Dharavies. These factories can provide an alternative source of income. And children can be benefited by education and health felicities available around it.

Due to increasing industrialization land prizes also increase and if a former wants to sell his land for any reason he can get better payment for it. As we can see that land rates in Punjab, Haryana are much more than UP though all are near to Delhi -the capital. Simply because there are very less industrialization in that region compared to earlier ones.

I know some time gov has to take lands from the farmers for some project when they do not want to vacate it. It is certainly not a good for the farmers but perhaps it can not be avoided for the welfare of the whole region. Then it is gov duty to relocate them and give enough compensation to them so that they can start a new work for their living. They should not be neglected at any cost .

The green revolution happened during Nehru's time I have seen the benefits of the green revolution being enjoyed by the farmers in my own home state even after so many generations passed.

Putting in money not just as subsidies but helping them acquire techniques which will increase the yield and so on and so forth.Which I think UPA ver 1.0 did UPA ver 2.0 leass said the better but nothing is coming from NDA Ver 2.0

NDA Ver 2.0 will also go down the same way with their make in India campaign.

Whether we accept it or not India is an agricultural country and we cannot overlook agricultural economy.

They can make money by developing agriculture too and food production too.
