One of my uncles does an odd dance on Aashiq Banaya Aapne, which he sings as Ashish Ko Mara Aapne. Another one goes around kissing everyone's forehead and one keeps talking about politics and stuff - we have a recorded video of him on New Year, talking for twenty-five minutes straight on everything under the sky. 🤣

Delhi is awesome - despite of the rapes and thievery and general bawdiness currently. Karim's biryani, dude. Paneer tikka from Karol Bagh. And gol gappe from anywhere. Aloo tikki and dahi bhalle and bhalle papdi and...now I'm hungry. 😳

Lol. He didn't understand any of it, but I was screeching so he let it be. They were all expressing their emotions about the relationship and Dad kept going, "how many love stories are in this thing?" and "your brain cells are going to be permanently damaged" to "why is the girl not burnt yet" and finally "can I please keep my news channel and get caught up on the election buzz?".🤣 Perfect... perfect. Your dad is awesome. But this is why I love this show... so OTT! Soha? come on right? I started watching this coz YHM was pissing me off and I felt like I was too invested so i needed something lighter... yes Monster Manik was lighter then YHM... Usually it works out for me. If YHM is all sad, KY2 is all happy and vise versa. Exactly what happened this period during Shagun drama MANAN we on their little 'fraaandship' ride...right now it works as a YHM palate cleanser for me, as I told Aruna... but looks like it's gonna be the other way around soon.

Didn't have the heart to explain to him the weird "she is his ex-girlfriend, he is the best friend who is now the current boyfriend, also he was never the girl's boyfriend, but he did crush on her" and ALL of that. So complicated their lives... I never had any such drama. But then I was a boring little butter ball concerned with getting good marks, chilling with my friends and getting in all my extraccurriculars ... 😛 So noe i live vicariously through them...🤣

See, I found Alya's reaction somewhat understandable. She feels betrayed 'cause she was told that she was being insecure for no reason. Dhruv is being his own self and just going around in circles in his own head. I wonder how he'll react when he knows that Manik left Nandini for him. And Mukti was simply being an airhead. Aaliya made sense because she did suspect and the broke up because he said she was being dumb, but she should have considered that she was talking about her ex/his best friend to her still insecure boyfriend. Dhruv is still unclear about every thing... including his feelings for Nandhu back then. I do wat the truth to come out about that dumb sacrifice... but I think he'll be angry... he is finally coming out of his shell thanks to Aaliya and seems to be really resenting Manik... Mukti is bring true to character, or whatever reason she hates Nandhini and will not give her a chance... so this makes sense.

For me, Fab5 has never had pure dynamics. They've never been friends who are at equals with each other. I feel as though except Cabir, the rest of the three are very dependent on Manik for their emotional balance and so expect him to keep them as their first priority - which they were but not anymore. EXACTLY... it's not a group of friends. It's Manik and everyone else... they drain him of everyhing, just like Nyonika. They are utterly selfish. But he alloews that because he loves his 'mother hen' role... that's where he feels like he is appropriated. That's all he thinks he is. It took a pint size little boxer to show him different.

Manik has been sort of a giver for everyone in the group. He says so himself - he protects them as if they're his family. Cabir understands that and respects it, but he supports Manik like the latter does for him. Which is why I find their friendship normal.

But the other three are more like his kids than friends. He's always seen helping and protecting them, while they are caught up in their own problems. Diito!

Manik has a clear need of being needed which these three fulfill, while Nandini comes as a new found species - independent, kicks his balls, and takes her own decisions most of the time. So that's where their relationship starts. An that's the balalce right? Unlike heis 'yes Manik' ex Aliya Nanshu is a total fighter that can match him spark for spark... at the same time she has that innocence and sweetness that is so new in his world.

He's not NEEDED by her, he's more of a want - more of something she desires. She doesn't need to do everything ALL ALONE, like she's done all her life with her brother, because he's there for her. There's a give and take in their relationship - which is novel in the show. They are at equal footing and they tone down each other's bad traits - her "I live in a Utopian World" and his "I hate the world" tendencies. 'give and take'? really? did you see the episode where he got attacked by Harshad? 😆 'It's not give and take Manik!' But you're right they balance each other out. He's the strong shoulder she needs and he is the soft corner he does...

Also, when on New Year's he says, "like you protect me," that speaks for the entire relationship. For someone who has loved and protected so many people, the fact that someone else will stand up for him and his feelings, and cherish HIM is a big deal. That was so amazing right? And such an important admission from him. He knows that no matter what she will protect him, just like he does them... he is awe of it and craves it at the same time. So cheesy but...D**N!

What irked me in yesterday's episode was the indifference with which they treated the whole kidnapping and murdering thing. Except for Cabir, everyone cared little about Nandini - who could be dying somewhere - and more about the "hows" and "whens" of the relationship.

When Mukti said, "So What? Let's complete the performance" I wanted to break her jaw. I didn't expect less from Mukti and Aaliya. Mukti has just as much of a positiveness about Manik as Aaliya does... but Shruv really disappointed me. Fir a guy who was her friend when Manik was her monster,, who was so sensitive and sweet to her. for a guy who was supposedly 'in love' with her to be so blase about it... disappointing. It sucks because they all want so much from him but can't be happy for him in his moment of panic. I just remember Nandhu's reaction when Manik offered to talk to Nyonika to bring Navya back 'how Manik? By giving a bit of yourself?' how does she get him and wants to protect his relationship with his friends but they don't want to do the same for him?
