waise baking se yaad aaya ki apparently u can bake Naans too 😲...do u know how to do that?😲

Haan... Naans can be baked (I don't have a tandoor, so bake kar ke hi kaam chalaana padta hai). The trick for good naans is to start with a very soft batter. It should be very wet (because the naan will dry up considerably in the oven. That is good for the yeast, and also good for the final end-product, because the more watery your dough is, the softer the naans turn out to be...
Sometimes, I add an egg to the dough too - but mostly I don't (because I like to remain vegetarian)...

If you want I can tell you the detailed recipe. There are two alternatives that I have tried out. I like baking, but if you don't want to do that, you can even the naan on a tava...

I've also tried making naans with whole-grain aata, but they were not as soft as the ones made with maida - and this is the only reason I don't bake naans very often...

@Bread: Haan, had you been living in my neighbourhood, I'd have baked a loaf for you every week... 😳

Kal raat ko, I heard the entire 16-somvaar vrat katha... The rules are simple. After saying prayers to shiv ji, ek baar khaanaa khana hai sham ko. Aaj toh accha beeta hai. I haven't even had any water abhi tak, and it is already 2:00 pm.

Aaj ghar jaakar, I will make kheer/halwa and break my fast after praying to shiv ji...

Shiv ji kripa karen hum donon par... 😳
