Now that I am more peacefully watching the bits of Ishqiya that I like I am amazed that I am hooked considering the monumental amount on SN and lack of logic and coherent plot lines that exists in this show. But despite all that I am hooked to the humour (and the trolling) and the lead pair. Because they have some amazing scenes together. They don't have the usual sizzle eyelock type of chemistry but what they have I find somehow much more heart warming. There is an emotional connect and trust more than physical attraction. They talk, share and have conversations and there an evolution and growth in their relationship over time without them losing their basic personality and traits which is unusual on TV and nice to see. Their characters are different from other TV couples in a way that I enjoy. I love Surbhi and I love Annika. But surprisingly I like Nakul and Shivaay too. Because the way he plays him makes him feel different from other Gul heroes despite a very similar template. For me Shivika work. And I am actually surprised that it's only J and me 😲 m'y lament is if only there weren't so much other SN all around that one has to dig so hard to find gold.
J is there is place where the good scenes are uploaded to watch without having to watch the crapfest parts? All the good scenes not just Shivika

I agrees. The humour, the chemistry and the bromance I love all of that. And there is chemistry between all the characters not just the lead pair. Except I don't much like the little league bitiya although I love Rudy's interactions with his brothers and Annika and his one liners. 😆.
Trithiya had none of it. There are even parts that I like better than Pratham (ok don't kill me everyone) but it all gets lost in the crazy contrived plots and the general SN.
I haven't watched much offscreen stuff yet but they seem like a happy bunch unlike the college sabun where they were ready to poison each other. And NM and SC play off each other so well that they seem like good friends who have a lot of comfort with each other. Of course I could be wrong in which case they are even better actors than I thought.

And one other thing I realised is that I am glad I watched this from the beginning, the whole journey even if on ff mode, because if I had to start watching this from this month I would find so ridiculous and laughable that I wouldn't be able to stick with it. I can tolerate the crap and all the lame plots only because I am now invested in the characters and their journey. The rest is beyond ridiculous. Can the writers and makers please do better than all the lame stuff they dish out? Itna torture kyun? It brings back memories of the pen drive romance!! Arghh!!
Koi nahin!! I just focus on the parts I want to and just tune out the rest. There is so much snark fodder in the crap though! 😛. Parachutes!!! God knows what next!! 😆
I have started treating this show like a parody whether they intended it to be one or not!! 😛. Once I do that I am all good 😃

Too often anyway!
But poor guy must have been scratching his head on how many different ways to play a near death experience. 😆 He has already done it a couple of times right? And how many different ways to make the magical all-healing tear fall? 😉
But despite all the nonsense Shivika manage to be cute more often than not (they are more that than hot! 😛 ) and there are many times they make me go Aww! Generally speaking speaking. The yaar was so un Shivaay!!! 😡
But then who knows! He always loses his marbles around Annika is generally flustered Billu! 😆
And they (Shivika and NM and SC) often shift moods and do the switch from crazy to cute to poignant quite seamlessly in a scene. Many times. The scenes where they do this are the ones I love.
Although I wonder how NM and DC manage to do some of this nonsense with a straight face 😆 They seem like a zany duo though. They are full of snark about their own show and characters 😆 I like that they have a sense of humour off screen and are actually quite snarky and witty and zany. Happened to see a random off screen vid where they are trolling themselves better than anyone else 😆

True. It's just you and me. But I am hooked despite the crap. Now I am trying to figure out how to talk about the show without pakaoing everyone else. 😆. Not just the last episode but the first 300 odd as well 😛. I actually like how nicely they have shown the growth in their relationship without losing the essence of who they are as people. Usually either there is no growth or if they show that they just make them become so out of character they stop being the same people. I am actually surprised that a Gul show has managed to show this well. Considering how burnt I was by the towel dance those type of character inconsistencies are less here. And varsity couple have actually been a team most of the time instead of hiding and doing things behind each other's back. They talk. Which is so nice. And the shatir dimaag does go on vacation often but not permanently. Some of these I actually find better than Pratham ( i know I am living dangerously here 😈 !! ) If only there was a story and a plot line to go with it which was less contrived.!! And I am missing the bromance which seems to have disappeared.

We need to figure out where to take this discussion. I am vary of forums. Who knows what wars are on on this one. 😆
