England. I'm just spending some time on IF with friends and hopefully finish an update of my FF before logging off to write more of my report. I will do the impossible and write many words in 5 days. But something has to give somewhere. 😔

I got a feeling the regulars are still here. Just the thread lost some momentum. I have a topic we could discuss inspired by the bank fiasco in EHT. Should writers stick to real life procedures when writing their screenplays. Like they should think about how things happen in real life before changing it to something different.

okay so in EHT, sakshi goenka just went to the bank manager, he was bowled over by her beauty and gave her the locker key. this does not happen in real life. if you have seen the episode you will understand to what I am referring to. so my topic suggestion was. as a writer should the writer not think about how bank procedures work in real life. then after decide how sakshi could get past that. not just in EHT but several other places and incidents etc. Even in court, should they not depict it as close to how real courts work?

indeed the writer should take in how things work in real life!!! Nothing is childs play in reality like how its shown in movies/serials! Weaving fiction keeping how things work in reality would be indeed awesome and ppl myt find it realistic unless of course one is trying to create a fantasy or senseless comedy !!!

Exactly. If it is a social drama that takes place in everyday places then the writer should do the research thoroughly and learn all the processes. Then once they know the stuff they can alter it to suit themselves but still make it realistic. I understand there is a disclaimer and stuff but it still is going to the extreme sometimes.
