To be precise and tell the truth most of these marriages were political. 😆

@ dey

i never understood what is so special about arjun either.

phones do that a lot. so does spell check

@ angela

none of the brothers have the same father so why are they called pandavas? i though pandu could not have children?

it is the case of if a man does it, it is fine and if a woman does it then it isn't.

yep, i agree. having lots of wives from different kingdoms gives you allies but it must suck when the wives ask you who you love the most because it is really hard to truely love more than one. draupadi loved arjun and who knows who arjun loved.

Kunti had the power to bear children from whichever gods she wanted. Karna was born before she was married. After her marriage Pandu told both his wives about his curse. Thus, Kunti explained to him that she can still have children.

Pandu accepted this offer. Thus, the brothers were called son of Pandu. The same doesn't go with Karna because Pandu didn't even know about his existence.

Well , Arjun turns out to be an exception here too!😆
Draupadi, he won!
Subhadra, love marriage!
Chitrangada, political-cum-love marriage
Ulupi, forced marriage!

So see, here to Arjun is at fault and still supported!😡

@ angela

that is a lot of wives to handle and poor draupadi is the one who has to be shared between the brothers! i'm assuming the rest don't have to be shared.

@bold - Yes! And it is really wrong! I really feel bad for Draupadi in this case!😭

Well dead it turn worse.
Arjun married Chitrangda and Ulupi in their respective kingdoms. Never brought them to his home!😲 Only Subhadra and Draupadi. Other Pandavs did the same with other wives so Draupadi didn't have to share them while she had years with them. But Arjun, she had to share even then!

Who decides the expiry date of a girl's dream?

Just to hear opinions of my friends out here...

Expiry date is decided by ghatiya society. By others who conformed to same diktat. By family. By even one's own kids.

I am also guilty of this. Questioned adults. Behaved as if they were there only to serve us kids.

Ideally one is supposed to be free and they say you can do anything when you grow up. But the older a person gets, especially female, the more we limit them.

We have a habit of making a woman feel guilty if she lives for herself.
