Umm no. 😆 MG is Moirai's Gambit, a three shot I had written this week.

Here's the link to it.

I would so love it if you gave it a shot. (If time permits. 😃 😃)

Oops 😲. But why, I mean how? 😕 I have heard of such a bug for the first time. Pliss to tell a bit more about it.

Lot of people have complained about this issue in the past. First I found out that it is because I login from multiple devices. So I decided to logout of all and then IF worked fine. After a few weeks the issue again came up. I found that if I delete the history it will work. It worked - but only for a few more days. Then Firefox even refused to log me in. Now I am using IE. Here at least I can login and comment. But even if I press the like button nothing happens. The screen just refreshes. Am not able to find a solution

Ria promised to read it. Wonder when she will get time 😉
Yes predictability can be an issue with long soaps. Which means Janata just wants predictable boring day to day stuff. Isn't one's life enough for that ? 😃
Yes I agree with your point on Ria's vocabulary. Ria, any inputs on how to improve mine ?

Hi JJ,

Just saw your reply today. Yes, I stopped and will do continue soon, promise. Oh wow, 13? That shows how much you had in your mind, and have so much more to share, keep us hooked as readers. Please give me a few days, will do read leisurely and comment. Hope you do not mind. 😳

Ha ha janta wants to see something new, only difference is they live overseas! Yahan wali aunties are 😎 with tikadas, punar janams , shaadi pe shaadi and what not. They apparently are some of the house-wives who aren't bored with boring stuff.

Ria - Please do enlighten us, even JJ has kindly requested to. Saalon ki mehnat helped you, I would like to improve at least now. 😳

I use Google Chrome and fortunately haven't encountered such a problem till date. If changing from firefox to IE helped, I guess we can hope that Chrome might be the solution for your problem.

Aww Zef behena, you really push me up the chane ki jhad. 😆 Although I honestly believe you don't need any improvements and are already awesome but then we all do have scope for more, always.
As you rightly said, it happens over years, I guess reading editorials and always consulting the dictionary whenever we come across a new word and then trying to use that in sentences as we speak or write helps a lot.
And then, well I confess of being a logophile, I often develop stories based on words and have collections of my favorite words. 😆

A Word A Day is a fabulous site for vocabulary.

And how can we forget the initial days of cable TV. Star Best Sellers was such a badass as one of my friends had called it.

We did have quality television till it all became formula based. The problem is that makers have become complacent in what they make, as long as they are getting the numbers and money, they don't wish to improve upon quality or experiment. Plus viewers too lap whatever is served eagerly.

See shows like Saathiya, YRKKH have been ruling the TRPs since ages. And then how can we forget Lamp and Wick. 😆

Plus churning out six episodes a week is obviously a harrowing task. And as goes the old law

Quantity is inversally proportional to quality.

Superb examples - Those were the times. My mom till now remembers the Wednesday-wala Rangolis, but has no idea about the current shows. Quality is being compromised, TV has become a business, not a means of entertainment, allow the audience to indulge in lovely shows, having a message, or fun too.

Ekta Maaiya - She is responsible for the bright future of not one but many people, but in the end she created the craze, and people fell flat for it. She sold a product, we bought it, now it is high time some one else to be bold enough to overtake her, bring back the good old days of TV. Har cheez ka anth hota hai, let her have the limelight until then.

Cable TV ruled the 80-90's, it is only this past decade that set-up boxes are the highlight. They offer too many options, flipping through the numbers of channels alone would take a day! Having a limited number of channels, with limited number of shows, allowed the creators to have a healthy competition, work on their pieces, but with now almost every Indian being a Crorepati, it becomes easy to become a producer, launch the show, then channel and then it goes on. The worst part is no one knows who and where their shows are being watched, yet they do not back out.

Nicely put, and very apt. People too are changing, accepting things. With busy working individuals, rarely do they find time, so for them to even deduce, analyse if something is worthy enough to watch is out of the picture. Plus with the Internet, it is tough to attract the tech-savy audience with a regular family drama. The content should matter, given the intelligent audience, but with a money-swindling domain, things seem to take a back-seat in that department.

The shows that run, it compels us to not judge the show, but the audience that watches them religiously or maybe even highlight the major glitch in the system calculating the viewership. The creators, actors, writers get tired, but the TRP maatas apparently do not!

6 days a week - This is new right? Last 1-2 yrs back, before that it was regular 4-5 days a week. That makes sense, given people who work in the show need a weekend too, just like our eyes. But now, it is become a trend-setter, regular shows on weekends! Pity the actors in this business, the audience certainly doesn't demand their presence, how much ever we love them, so I guess the money is the inspiration, at the end.

Oh wow, had no intention of typing out a really long reply, while you are busy, guess aadat se majboor.

Ha ha JJ, when you said you weren't allowed to like, I thought you were banned or something! Then it struck, why would a sincere, fun-loving member be involved, and most importantly, you are posting here! Need to stop over-thinking..😳

Ria, what is a chane ka jhaad? 😳

Thank you for the lovely and really helpful tips, tricks. 🤗They indeed are encouraging, but you as a friend make it look exciting and doable, at this stage. It's never to late to learn, most importantly improve.

I loved the bit of compiling a story with words, something new I have come across, reminds me of school, primary section, an excellent teacher suggesting an idea, or a fun activity.

Will do use these, will always remember them though.

Hope it is not lunch time, and I am bothering you! 😊
