Repo rate - gyaan -

so its a method of controlling inflation - its interest rate of loans given by RBI to commercial banks

repo rate is the rate at which RBI lends money to commercial banks...so in case they want to curb inflation - and reduce purchasing power of people...they increase the repo rate, so commercial banks find it costly to borrow from bank...hence loans are lesser in value and ultimately results in cutting down the money supply in economy and vice versa...

seems rajan dint increase the rate this time...so there are questions raised on economy
