Hi! Friends,
Hope all of you are fine. As for New year party we just had lunch at an Indian restaurant as desired by my younger one on 3rd.
@ Anu, nice to know that your son is in same grade as my elder one. My kids also are more inclined towards maths and science, but they do like languages...especially my younger one, he loves to make up his own stories!! 😆 He has weird imaginations and keeps asking some tricky questions!!🤢 He has kept his teachers on their toes!!🤢 My kids have to learn 3 languages - English, Hindi and Arabic!! They are doing fine as of now.
Friends I chanced upon a new mythological show " Singhasan Battisi" in Sony Pal the new channel, The story is really very intriguing and has so much of inspiration. If you like such shows you can watch it.
Nothing more friends...keep in touch and have a nice time.😃

Hello dear friends,

It is good that your kids learn Hindi, English and Arabic ( in Varsha's case)
and many other subjects in Anu's case. I know that Canada pushes French a bit more. Here in the UK attitude to foreign languages is too relaxed . We have French, German, Spanish etc taught as optional subjects but not too much of a push is given in this direction. The thinking is that English being a world language and internet rich, our kid's will be OK. A big mistake I think.😡

The Indian/Pakistani community teach their regional languages usually in the homes or at Saturday school, though I know of many of our kids who will only converse in English. Many will understand but will reply in English.

I have not watched any new desi shows yet. Our British shows at the moment are just fantastic!

One show that you might like is called Downton Abbey. Check it out you might enjoy it.😛

By the way, I watched PK the hindi movie over the weekend, I can see why people are offended with some of the content.

Look after yourself, and write soon.

Keep in touch.

Thanks for sharing Anu, they are really great.!!👏
Sana looks like a sweet school going little girl 😊 She looked really mature in Laajo's role!!😆
Sagar aka Siddhant looks cool seems he had a nice time on the beach...the place resembles Goa!!
I visit Goa every year as we have our family temple there. Its real fun on the beach !!!
I saw Alek Sangal aka Adiraj in a show on SAB T.V called YUM hain HUM , it is a witty show . Here his role is diametrically opposite to what he played in G.D!! 😲
Friends I loved the show " Singhasan Battisi" , Its really good . Though it is mythological period drama , its message is still relevant today. I speaks about morality, courage , ethics , intelligence, humanity, judgement and other such issues through different stories...Its really interesting. I had read a comic on these stories when I was a kid then too I liked those stories. If you like listening to stories ,this is the best show!!😉
@ Jatinder , I wanted to study any foreign Language and we had a vocational course in German in our town , but just couldn't make it as my academics kept me busy...now I feel I should have squeezed out time!!😕 I wanted to learn Sanskrit, India's mystical language , that too remained a dream!! Lets see in future if I get some time , I really would like to learn a new language.
New year is keeping me busy, I have some assignments to prepare for my kids...and their school . See you later . Take care 🤗 Keep in touch 😊

Hi Varsha , Jatinder

You guys are right . Sana looks like a little girl cute and sweet. She had written that this was taken after prayers on Eid which I think was on 3rd or 4th. Initially Laajo looked very young when she was in the Sonbarsa attire. Trishna looked very mature and grown up.

Jatinder - English is their mother tongue and as u said its a universal language so they don't feel the need to learn another foreign language. Read about PK and those who have seen it gave a good feedback. Will watch it soon.

Varsha - I did learn French for 3 yrs in school . We didn't have a proper teacher so didn't develop much interest in it. Good that you and Jatinder found shows to your liking . I am still on a break 😆 and actually enjoying it. Trying out some new recipes, and reading keeps me busy. Alekh tweets about that show regularly. Its comedy I guess. Also saw our Ayesha(Shraddha Jaiswal) in Shastri Sisters while surfing thru channels.

Siddhant is nothing like Sagar in real life. He is a totally fun loving person. That is Goa. Most of the tv stars were there for NY.

Here is a scene from the show Pyar ki ye ek kahani that Siddhant and Vahbiz were paired together . It was a totally negative role. To cover up his evil side he gave the impression that he is a casanova. The naughty flirty side was much fun to watch

That's all for now. See u all soon.

Hi!
There is a lot of noise about P.K and I guess films touching sensitive subjects should be dealt maturely.
People say they have freedom of expression and speech but sometimes forget that freedom comes with certain responsibilities. Films are meant to entertain people and should do just that.
I have not watched P.K, so cannot comment on it. But at the same time I feel there is nothing wrong in watching it , as films are not tutorials to teach how we should lead our life!!😆 They do sometimes influence the thought process...but that depends on the individual.
Whatever maybe the case, in marketing terms "Negative publicity " is also publicity!! 😛
The P.K people are basking in glory!!😆

Hello dear friends,

Hope all is well with you and your families.

Talking about PK and sensitive issues, I do feel that the film makers see the publicity from this as
more box office collection for them. However to hurt sentiments of peoples beliefs is very dangerous.

Annu the clip of SK was fun.

Have a great day.

Hello my precious friends!!!
Glad everyone is doing well. Talk about languages Varsha proud of your kids learning three languages plus other subjects wow they'll make you proud mother⭐️ masha-allah.
@Anu your son is smar as his mother and languages is difficult to learn however the end he'll succeed and make you very proud mother. Anu you also speak French. French is very hard language and if you don't have a good teacher is even more difficult. In Canada two official languages are French and English so when I was in high school I took French grade nine and ten after that I refused to take grade 11 and 12 but wish I did. Did I told you guys about me before. My real name is Zulekha Hajji Mahammed Imran. I am Somalilander anaa aslia originally Arab and Somali. But right now all i am is Canadian Citizen and grow up in Ottawa. Supposedly speak Arabic, somali and English according to my father, however I only speak English. I can read and write Arabic and only time I speak arabic is when I am upset and angry words comes out without even knowing 😒 and my french is very poor. Arabic have have many accent for example my father lived in Suidi Arabia, Jiddah for almost 35 years work for the Arabian Homes. My brother study in Kuwat City university, two of my sister lived in Araq, Baqdad, and Basra city and one of my sister lived in Syria, Dummas all of them have diffirent accents. When I pray I pray Arabic every dua I know is Arabic but I can't carry a conversation in arabic it's funny isn't it😆😆funny how that works. I was a young when I left Somaliland I was only 10 years old that was last time I saw my mother's beautiful face. Sorry my friends if I bore you. I just needed to share who I am and where I came from.
@Jatinder, @ Varash and @Anu have a marvellous weekend and keep in touch love you all.
