I won't call her an Italian lady but a blind mother who is eager to make her son the next prime minister.

Birth is an accident and it is not in our control.She acme here as someone's wife and DIL and we should respect those positions as Indians we have great regard for family values.

She should be criticised for her actions not for being a foreigner.

well...Appy...I won't call her Indian. Wearing Sari doesn't make her Indian.

Yes huge respect family where she married.⭐️..

I always felt she shd have avoid joining Politics its sheer her pressure Dr Singh did not quit...as she wanted use his clean image

I never felt she had potential or understanding of Indian Politics in fact even Sonny boy does not have it too despite being born in India.

I am nt blaming her...being outsider...

u know Madam did not submit her Birth country passport even her husband was PM of country...

later on much hulla gulla in Parliament...she submit her passport then become citizen of this country.

Her Mom living here on diplomatic visa. Many of family lives here had properties too

Well Indians are no great shakes😛🤢

Well she is the bahu of an Indian and wife/widow of an Indian and this country is her home as much as it is ours.

She didn't have potential so she didn't even try to become a PM.

So she selected someone with clean image and efficient man for the job.

But her putr prem and coalition politics got in the way

I would not have wanted her as a PM simply because she didn't have potential.

Foreign origin theory is put to rest once and for all when the party won the elections twice under her leadership.

People only see her as Rajiv Gandhi's wife who became widow in such tragic circumstances.

She lost this election because of her party's bad performance

When her party performed people voted this time they are mad with the part they sent her out nothing to do with her foreign origin.

If she had potential...then it would have 👍🏼

but again her being not born in this country is another big issue...I think Mr Subramanian Swamy exposed many of her birth country family business Madam her entire family in her birth country using Indian money 😡

let me find that Mr Swamy's article...quite eye opener

In 1980 and January 1983 Ms. Sonia Gandhi then still an Italian citizen enrolled herself as a voter in the New Delhi constituency despite having been struck off the list in 1982 upon the ERO receiving a complaint from a citizen. She thus committed an offence under Section 31 of the Representation of the People's Act read with Form 4 of the Registration of Electors Rules(1960).

43. Ms.Sonia Gandhi's Indian citizenship acquired in record speed in April 1983 is vitiated by her incomplete answers to mandatory questions in the citizenship forms. She did not submit documents from the Italian government of relinquishing her Italian citizenship required for Indian citizenship, stating in the Form that it was not applicable" [Annexure 12]. Italian Embassy in New Delhi simply affirmed what she told them and hence that cannot be taken as a valid document of relinquishment for the purposes of citizenship. She also retrieved her Italian passport in 1992 after citizenship laws in Italy were amended which under Section 10 of the Citizenship Act (1955) means cancellation of her Indian citizenship.
