Life OK has done it. In the week ended 31 May, the second Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from Star India stable has toppled Colors to claim third position.

Life OK added 33 million GVMs (gross television viewership in million) to end the week with 365 million.

As per TAM data (sourced from subscribers) for the Hindi-speaking markets, the other two channels to gain viewership were Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and Zee TV.

Here is how the Hindi GECs performed:

Star Plus remained on top with 655 million GVMs, down from 699 million in the trailing week.

Zee TV was No. 2 with 400 million, up from 387 million.

LifeOK has concentrated on content and it's paid off... and more that than, it has a wide variety of programs ranging from real life drama to mythological to supernatural to romance, family drama etc...

Colors, they rely heavily on reality TV to gain TVT ratings... their shows aren't that great (maybe handful of them are, but overall its not) when compared to other channels.

Agreed with bold..even there new show baawre seems to be different... As far as colors is concerned.. only reality shows are worth watching there..

I don't watch programs on Colors.. . the Channel never appealed me! On the off hand when I do watch, it kinda puts me off even further..

As for reality shows, well I'd rather watch a bad scripted show than watch a scripted reality show! I am not a fan of the so called "reality TV"!
