Well okay- overall, I thought the movies were very well done for the books. Obviously, the books are better- but considering the books and how complex they are, the movies did a commendable job. HP and LOTR have the best movie to book conversions, in my opinion- even if they didn't do justice, they were better than expected.
I did not like the second DH part though. That "Always" scene will always make me annoyed. It's such a crucial scene too. I cried in the book during that scene.
I agree about LOTR. But I just expected the movies to be much better for HP. IDK why!
I think my annoyance for the movies stems from the simple scenes that added so much to the book, in terms of character and plot development, never made it to the movie. Also, I will always be pissed at the movies for never giving importance to Fred and George's jokes, or Lee Jordan's commentary--some of those witty, and extraordinarily funny parts of the books made the books such a favorite for me. I personally think that the subtle details in the plot, the narrative, the dialogues and even the characters and the amazing way JKR managed to bring EVERY single loop to a close, is what makes HP such a good read. IMO I don't think the movies captured that.
