You must go there. I'm not too much of a religious person but it's a sight seeing experience. The structure is marvellous and well maintained. I saw it in day time the last time and this time I saw it at night. The temple and langar arrangements and management is a good case study of time management and handling crowds without being rude and utensils in a systematic and swift manner yet managing to keep the place clean. Kya karoon? My corporate mind works everywhere 😆. I was impressed. Ppl at all Hindu temples with very high footfalls need to learn a thing or 2 from them. No offence to anyone.

Amritsar itself is not a great city and aprat from what I mentioned there's nothing much to see so a 2 day trip should be more than enough IMO with shopping and enough rest. You can probably make it a one week trip max by including Chandigarh which is a nice city.
