That's Delhi for You and upar se being married to a punjabi 😆 everything has to be a big tamasha .. Holi at least is just one day , Diwali season goes on for a month !

just out of curiosity, how much of what we see in shows and movies is actually true in relation to the festivals? I always wished it was real n i could be part of that! 😆

Alright G! Rang barse bhige chunarwali, rang barse...😆

Diya, the two songs you mentioned are of KJO's films...guess the two PH are interchangeable in their lavishness.

Its more spontaneous and natural in real life sunara😆Their are no wonderful choreographed songs . In a holi party typically in delhi you will have after 2-3 hrs of playing ...some kids crying because colour has entered their eyes , some drunk men definately ..., women worried abt how colour would come out of their hair ...some guests definately cribbing out the food spread 😆

Its crazy , disfunctional in a way but still fun.

Very little of it happens in real life, Sunara! 😆 None of the choreographed songs and dances happen .. though these days in weddings, people do prepare dances for the sangeet.

Holi is a blast ... we usually get together at one person's house, and have a mad time with colors and water ... when we were in college, we used a lot of water balloons, we would fill them up by the bucket load ... and wet and dry colors. Then we have lunch, usually pot luck ... always sitting outside because we're all filthy and sopping wet. 😆 We used to have a song session once the playing with colors was done, which was always good fun.

Guinea is talking about DJ's and dhol and all that ... we never had those.

Karva chauth is NOTHING like what you see in the movies ... by the evening, we're all snappy and hungry and just waiting for the moon. Definitely in no mood to do any song and dance. 😆 But we do dress up for the puja.
