Just gave it to PQ. Apparently people living abroad dont have to do anything on their own. She makes it sound like we are living in a lap of luxury.

Grrr.

I decided to stay away from her, but her judgmental posts are way too much.

When in reality people abroad need to balance hella more than those back home, what with no cheap labor to help with cooking, cleaning, groceries, kids.

Nonsense. I forgot all about her and how annoying she is. 😆

Link please.

Coco, there are rumours doing the rounds that KSG & Jen are starting their own PHJ and will costar in a show for Sony. I dont think he is that big a fool to quit for some crappy hindi movie which will never release.

BTW another TV guy Pulkit Samrat debuted with a bollywood movie called Fukrey. If I recollect he was done of the guys who took on Ekta during her days in power.

Watch the movie if you can. I havent laughed so much over a Hindi movie recently.

Strongly recommended.

Hola NB!

I've heard that he's doing Punjabi movies actually. 😆 I've heard about those rumours. Frankly, this show's gonna tank cause he and his wife have zilch chemistry on screen. Such an unprofessional couple...

Pulkit's debut movie was Bitto Boss actually. I don't think it did too well at the BO. I've heard good things about Fukrey from other people too, so I think I'll watch it. 😃

All this started because I said what are kids doing staying up at 9.30pm and watching such shows? Shouldnt censorship begin at home. Even while I was in india as a child with working parents, my parents were insistent that we were in our beds by 9pm. And there was no way they would let me watch shows like IPK or RR until I was over 16.

So she retaliated with this.

Is PQ among the members complaining about violence? Or was it just a generic response to your comment that she couldn't resist herself.

And agreed, parents need to be more involved in their kids lives. My parents didn't allow TVs/laptops in our rooms because they didn't want us watching TV or surfing the web behind closed doors. My dad to this day doesn't get Showtime or HBO at home because he doesn't like the open nudity aspect to a lot of the shows. Parents don't need to answer to their kids if they say they can't watch TV past 9. Give me a break with this "lifestlye" concept.

I would chime into that thread but she is phacking exhausting.

Yes it was because of my post on violence. mehak tell me how is RR violent? The amount of violence shown in movie or even domestic violence shown on TVs is absurd.

There is this show called Saathiya where the MIL makes her DIL wear a cloth around her mouth so that she doesn't speak. It was a punishment as her DIL hid something from her.

How does that compare to an army guy shooting someone?

I still believe even if there was no violence, still RR isnt something that should be watched by kids. Its a love story.

But thats me, if other parents feel different that fine too.

Just don't tell me that I have no right to have an opinion but then judge me in the same breath.

Honestly it's not just her who thinks like this. I know a lot of people back home with the same mindset.

It's really annoying, and off putting at times. They think that we have it really easy over here.

I'm not a mom yet, but I have seen my mom and other parents who literally have to schedule their time and work around the clock in order to prioritise their time and get all their work done.

I don't think you're judgemental at all when you said that kids should be in bed by 9:30, NB. Ideally, kids should be in bed by 9 actually. It's medically advised.

I don't get what her deal is...

True, she just goes on and on and never quits. 😆 Even when she says she will. 😆

Showing an Army person involved in some sort of shoot out or related scene is a realistic thing to see. That's what soldiers face. Showing something like tying a cloth around a person's mouth is just showing cruel and psychotic for ways to deal with issues. Which is more phacked up and less family friendly? Like seriously, which one do you want your kid to watch and think is normal.

But even if you do find the show too violent for your liking, then that's your call. Don't watch the show with kids. If the time is when your family gets to unwind, then you prioritize what's more important...watching your show on TV or spending time with your kids.

And right, what is new to PQ. All opinions welcome except those that disagree or call out her nonsense. 😆

Sonia, I try & put M to bed by 8. Although she sometimes takes more time than that. I do it not only because its good for her, but also because hubby and I need our time.

An old friend gave me a wonderful piece of advice. She said, just because you become mom & dad it doesn't mean you stop being husband and wife.
