I'm not a mom yet, but I have seen my mom and other parents who literally have to schedule their time and work around the clock in order to prioritise their time and get all their work done.

I don't think you're judgemental at all when you said that kids should be in bed by 9:30, NB. Ideally, kids should be in bed by 9 actually. It's medically advised.

I don't get what her deal is...

Especially kids that are young enough that you wouldn't want them watching prime time shows. They need to sleep.

My cousins around 9-10 years old are in bed by 8:30, or otherwise they have no energy.

I think people just don't like to idea of personal responsibility. Whatever your life is like, you can prioritize it any which way you want.

Yes it was because of my post on violence. mehak tell me how is RR violent? The amount of violence shown in movie or even domestic violence shown on TVs is absurd.

There is this show called Saathiya where the MIL makes her DIL wear a cloth around her mouth so that she doesn't speak. It was a punishment as her DIL hid something from her.

How does that compare to an army guy shooting someone?

I still believe even if there was no violence, still RR isnt something that should be watched by kids. Its a love story.

But thats me, if other parents feel different that fine too.

Just don't tell me that I have no right to have an opinion but then judge me in the same breath.

Who comes up with these ideas? How can people get away with this?

Moochwala's violence could be justified because he is shown as a protector and upholder of law. Domestic violence have no justification.

W*F! Beintehaa is a copy of Humsafar? 😡 HUMSAFAR was such a lovely show. I still watch it at times when I miss Ashar and Khirad. It was such an intense story. The lead actors of Beintehaa could never match that intensity, they could never recreate that magic.

Shreya, how are you? I need some alone time Shreya. I just cant write serious fiction otherwise. It easy to post inane stuff in the forum, as that doesnt require much thinking. But writing fiction is another ball game altogether. Having said that Im likely to get more flexibility from work soon. I hope to continue after that.

For those who are aware of my issues- my company has requested me to stay on at work and not take the break. there are willing to consider letting me work from home more days a week. Im going to give it a go for the next 3 months and if it doesnt work, I plan on leaving my job.

Onu, the beintahaa is a nice show. But the lead pair is terrible. The lead actress looks like a ditzy. Khirad had this silent strength about her. A big failure in terms of casting.

All this started because I said what are kids doing staying up at 9.30pm and watching such shows? Shouldnt censorship begin at home. Even while I was in india as a child with working parents, my parents were insistent that we were in our beds by 9pm. And there was no way they would let me watch shows like IPK or RR until I was over 16.

So she retaliated with this.

What a load of crap PQ has written... Older kids don't go to bed agreed as my 12 year old has tons of HW everyday and she is up till 11 to finish it since she comes back home by 16:30 or after 5 but still she is not allowed to watch TV after 8 and by 9 is in her room finishing the rest of the HW n her room... The youngest one is in bed by 19:30 and fast asleep by 20:00 and I do everything by myself... How can kids force their way to watch a show with their parents in beyond me.

Hello🤗 Yes that's me the lazy cat. 😆

Excuse my addled brain and kindly tell me your "good" name. 😆 I find it extremely funny when people ask me my "good" name. 🤣

Oh I loved the show too. I loved Ashar even though he was a jackass. But I forgive him. He did manage to redeem himself in my eyes. It also helped that he was so good looking. 😆

Mahira's so pretty. Yesterday, I wanted to bring this angle but I refrained from it. Khirad looked so ordinary, so simple, so realistic before she married Ashar. She looked beautiful even though she wore those unflattering clothes and had no make up. Then I remember that scene the first time she dressed up for the party and how Ashar was mesmerized. Her transformation was after marriage. And again later after they are separated, she again donned clothes which were again reeking of a simple living, barely able to make ends meet. Again no make up and unflattering clothes.

This is what I meant when I said Paro looks too glamorous to be a naive, demure, innocent village girl. The fault is not with her acting but with the presentation of the character. Such finery 1 Even if they wanted to bring in the contrast before and after she is left as a widow, I think they went a bit overboard with it.
