Ivy ...

I knew that the " Dutch Angle " is the name of Skewed angle only ... I was not able to understand which shots were taken at Skewed angles ...

Now having seen the scene again with this new info , i realize ... Thanks a lot... 😊

Ivy, your attention to detail is nonpareil. I'm sure you'd make one helluva doc 👍🏼🤗

Why thank you, Shrija 🤗

But for one thing... I can't stand the sight of blood, and I'm utterly terrified of hospitals 😳

Ivy, thanks for the film appreciation course😊.

While Indian soaps are very dramatic, almost loud in their character build up etc. the style in MZZB is very subtle and soft.

The mood, expressions and even the background are very unobtrusive. Could you shed some light on the difference in this style and the techniques involved in MZZB vis a vis lets say SC, where the last week was a masterpiece in drama creation! 😲

Arshi ji, to be perfectly honest with you, I don't watch MZZB with a technical eye because I'm too immersed in the mood, and the progression of the story. Another reason for this is that the film form of the show strives not to be noticed. The camera work is from the documentary tradition, which simply observes as the third person, the verisimilitude is kept highly intact, the lighting is natural - we're however given blocks of action, tied together by the technique of 'dissolves' to signify time and place have changed, or for FB's sometimes, to signify the change in pov. The play off's between characters are extremely, extremely nuanced and understated. A big reason for this goes to the bg score. That is the 'connect'. This is 'drama' in the primordial sense - tension, selfish motivations, grey characters, the curiousity to know where it is all leading, the feeling that something still 'eludes' while you watch - I'm loving this. And learning urdu in the process too... My nani couldn't have been more delighted that I've turned her into my personal language mentor/dictionary 😳

May I propose this, thus - any scene, sequence in epi that you feel leapt out to you on a technical level, you direct me to it, and we can discuss that going further? Because right now, nothing distracts me from the story, the cognitive work-out provided by the narrative, the emotions that I experience while watching. The true satisfaction of a viewer post every watch. Operative word: Affect =)

Attention all,
We have had a new DoP for this whole week... Sandeep Yadav. Updated on page 1

I had to check after yesterday's scenes which looked especially wrong.

@ Ivy,

Ivy has it impacted the show in anyway?

Thanks, Happy Dost 🤗

Arshi ji... The dominating 'thriller mood and pace' of the epi, I believe we can credit to Yadav ji. The same would go for the 'blatant lift-off's'... The DOP works very closely with the director but while it is 'practice' to bring in new directors for specific tracks, changing DOP's is not so prevalent. A DOP's skill set requires flexibility and adaptability to a wide range of directorial and producer vision. If DOP is also being changed, then show might very likely be breathing its last.

Yes, it seems like the show is on its "last legs" **Praise the Lord!!**

Clue - The ever-discreet Mr. Rode has not "said" it in so many words that the show is ending but he has confirmed signing up for NB6.. And that is a giveaway because he already works seven-day weeks shooting for SC, so net-net the two shows will not run simultaneously for long?

Next Quest-ion - When does NB6 start shooting? SC will probably end within a month of that, I guess...😊
