HMMM 🤓

https://www.indiaforums.com/article/ankita-lokhande-to-continue-with-pavitra-rishta_47719

The future of Balaji Telefilms Pavitra Rishta was at stake when many actors recently decided to quit the show post the leap. The leap which is still to take place has had many actors deciding to not go ahead with the show and many are also talking about the same.

While Balaji's loyal actor Hiten Tejwanimaintained that he will continue working for the show, even veteran actress Usha Nadkarni said she will stick to the show. The main lead actress Ankita Lokhande however shied away from any comment which had tongues wagging that she will quit the show. What further prompted these rumors was the announcement in sections of media that Ankita had been spotted by none other than Shah Rukh Khanwho recommended her to Farah Khan for her upcoming film Happy New Year.

Apparently things didn't fall in place and finally Deepika Padukone who too was in the running bagged the much coveted role. While Ankita as usual maintained a stoic silence about all this a source tells us, "Yes, it is true that Ankita was being considered for a role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's next but finally she was not chosen. Ultimately the role went to Deepika. Thus, Ankita has decided to stick to Television and continue with Pavitra Rishta."

Actually there was another reason for this silence, "Ankita is not keeping well for some time now and due to her ill health she is keeping a low profile for sometime now, but she should soon resume shoot."

Looks like for once Bollywood's loss is Telly town's gain!

I think everyone got a bit too serious today. What is fair and not fair depends on people and their circumstances right? Just because you are good at what you do, doesn't mean you will get a good pay. Talent doesn't always get you good pay either. Hard work doesn't always get you good pay either.

Cricketers get paid obscene amount money, doesn't mean it's because of their talent. If talent was deciding factor, then why not hockey players, boxers, athletes, volley ball players, basketball players and so many other sports in India.

BTW, wait for this' Salmaan Khan to get 5 crores per episode of Bigg Boss (got it from Pollyji in Germany). 85K seems too little compared to the obscene amount of money SK is to get for BB!!!! And for what?

Salman Khan is a brand. So the same logic applies here that why a branded product demands higher premium.

I loved the discussion...its always nice to know people's POV...and no one is right or wrong...

I agree talent is not the only parameter which decides my pay..neither getting paid higher is the only thing which decides whether I am talented or my job is good or bad..or whether I am happy or not...

If he gets this amount for a TV appearance, then I shudder to think what his movie income would be?

You know, sometimes I see Indian footballers and how they struggle and get so angry for cricketers getting so much pay. It's not just footballers, its track and field athletes, boxers etc. Many in the volleyball/basketball team have to work separate jobs just to make ends meet. They all achieve great heights in their respective fields out of their own perseverance & they get a medal. For a while the nation is happy, but no one is still ready to invest in them either! They struggle to get sponsorship to attend international camps which can help them…. So, yes, cricketers are paid too much for hitting bat to ball! (Sorry Shri)

And what about the deal Ajay Devgan has signed for 400/500 crores with Star Tv 😲 for 2/3 years. It is just tooo much money for getting airing rights for at the most 10 to 12 movies. But I still dont understand how Ajay gets to decide that unless he is going to be the producer for all his upcoming movies.

400/500 crores??? Are you kidding me? No wonder, Star is replaying Son of Sardar and torturing everyone!!! How can people invest in a movie like that?? And can actors just decide what their pay is going to be? I really hope they are paying their taxes,...,

Tanya, still you are not getting my point. Yes people hitting bat to ball are paid more but why do you feel for people who just run fast or people who hit another human being. For you cricket/football is hitting bat to ball/ running around a ball, but for someone the other sports might be just as I had mentioned. This was my only point. In india money is not invested in any sport except cricket.
