you know my cousin he is highly interested in playing TT and football...he has also played for state level..he wants to grow in this...he does not like playing cricket but the place where he stays has no coaching available for these games but coaching for cricket is available..so either he has to shift to cricket or he has to move to a different place to keep his passion alive.

@bold...i agree but again demand of the game is like that..and for India its cricket for some other country its some other game.

No I am not. This is what I heard. They get to air the same movie so many times. I think they will also get music rights so that they can use the same songs in all the serials and Ajay Devgan and Co gets slots for promotion and even if the movies bomb they would have recovered some. Everyone wins except the viewers, but they have the remote and they will show their power.

If people who run fast or hit other people, or throw balls over a net are paid obscene amount of money in India, I would moan about that too… I am moaning at the unfairness, not the game or the talent. I watch a match of basketball/ volleyball and am passionate about it just as much as cricket, but the 2 games are treated so different. It's got nothing to do with the talent these sportsmen/women possess or even the game. Pay has nothing to do with talent or the game.

My love for the game of cricket is because of the talent in these sportsmen. Getting a ball to spin with or against the resistance in the air, that is talent. Getting the ball to hit a particular spot on the pitch while you are gaining momentum, that is talent. Being able to hit the ball at the right time and the right angle for a six - that is talent. There is beauty there. Pay is not directly proportional to any of this.

Corporations/ Advertisers etc. only invest if they can make a profit. Before profit, talent is nothing.

I will probably stop moaning, when there is not so much disparity in pay between sports. And that will never happen, but moaning helps deal with the unfairness.

and in the mean time i went for world tour and found out the original source of news..

i do not understand one thing...how do a viewer decides which actor deserves better pay when the viewers are not paying and neither do they know what are the parameters for what the actor is getting paid..i see some fans(mods I am not pointing to any fangrp) saying their favs deserves better pay...yeh kya baat hui..
