Shri, I am not belittling any sport or sportsman. But that is what they do, football, you run around with a ball & gets it to the goal! In Cricket, you hit a ball that is coming at you… The beauty of the sport and everything else is a very different matter… Pay has got nothing to do with the beauty of the game, if you think about it.

entertainment and sports have become the most booming industry .. inspite of recession we see in other sectors these two seem not that much affected but it has been affected some where because many projects were shut down or stopped.. guess this TRP thing is an indicator for investors so TRP should be taken seriously no 🤔

TRP has to be taken seriously...i laugh at actors who says TRP does not matter...why shouldn't TRP matter??Its the only tool which gives one the idea about the number of viewership...and thats what an advertiser/sponsors sees while sponsoring...people say about online viewership..but not all online segment have ads...the advertisers invest the maximum in making a show(i am talking about an average PH).they also have a calculated ROI they get from ads...if the show does not have good TRP that means for the advertiser its not working...PH and channel invest in initial period but their returns comes from the sponsorship...so PH needs their money back which can only from ads and for an advertiser its very important to know how many people will see their ads...actors ka kya hai they can draw their salary every month but what about the advertisers...no show is made for any charity..

TRP may not be an exact tool but at present no channel can say they can get away with TRP because if they get away with TRP they have to leave showing ads.

Oh don't start with that yaar… India is a good example where life is never ever fair!! We have a successful space programme, but still have can't feed every Indian!

I read somewhere that CINTA does have this rule but ultimately they leave to the PH to decide whether to follow this rule or not...

i do not know but i feel just because there had been an economic boom there was also a commercialization boom in our country and many things were aped as was did in the US .. forgetting that the boom was not inclusive of rural india ... these disparities only divide the country more like how it is happening in case of AP and Telangana now.. i was going through some articles and found that AP is economically developed where as Telangana is mostly agricultural area which has not been encouraged and developed 😕

I also am not talking about any beauty of the game. I dont know much about football. Yes, essentially they run around a ball but skills are required for that. Your statement that they get paid for just running around a ball might be insulting to any sportsman and that is what I mentioned. Dont MU me Tanyaji. 😊
