In all that fight, kumud's parents instead of sitting down and understanding what may have happened urgently find her a husbad. The original story of SC is that it is of unrequited love of Saras and Kumud. Saras wants to be a social worker and hence rejects the proposal of Kumud sundari and to not sound too arrogant, actually writes his reasons for rejecting the proposal. The exchange of letters takes place and then they slowly fall in love. Something happens and Saras calls off the wedding and Kumud after waiting for a long time gets married to another person. Circumstances bring Saras and Kumud together again when Saras stays in Kumud's married house for some reason. This is the story I remember of Nutan's movie. There was no premarital sex in that movie as far as I remember. and SLB has completely destroyed the story with premarital sex and KC sequence. I think he introduced premarital sex for getting the TRPs up and now the story is Parineeta with mix of SC.

Agree with you dips. See in the original movie also Kumud waits for Saras for sometime before getting married to a new guy. And this was in black and white era. So this sudden marry-someone- off-the-road is not working out for this show in this era. I am pretty sure, the TRPs of SC would be down in dumps when the next rating arrives.
