NB, those who trivialize holocaust, I guess never appreciated the horror of imagining how many different ways you or a member of your family is being targeted! My husband's been to Auschwitz and he says that the horrors of what people in concentration camps may have felt is still palpable there!

Holocaust definitely is not the first time genocide occurred in human history, but none comes close to its magnitude!

I haven't been to Auschwitz but I remember learning about it in school.

We were shown all the pictures of the horrifying medical experiments the Nazis conducted on Jewish children. And pictures all the shoes, clothes, wedding rings and luggages.

I don't know if you have read the book Boy in Striped Pyjamas.

It's so sad. There's a movie on it. I watched it and I cried in the end.
