Wheee, I got my laptop back early! Turns out, the center works on Sundays too :)))
Anyway, so I watched the Friday episode of MB, and in agreement with you both, the sequences, despite being dream on dream, were well done. I think I'm going to stay in at least mild wonder about how this show pulls on some classic cliche slash overused executions but somehow does it in a way that suits its own bill.In particular, I liked the choreography of the bit in the phone booth (that's JTHJ inspired?! 🤓 had no idea, but just the thought of SRK romancing Kat in that manner makes me cringe. Seriously, back to what you said Nur, how long before it begins to look creepy slash he realizes it already does look so?) Khair, interestingly, it fit Madhu and RK quite well, given the setting of the dream was a Bollywood song being shot, and given that they actually looked sweet... Oh yeah it was totally "inspired" from the phone booth bit in the Saans song...you haven't seen the promo of it? Basically SRK-Kat are making out in the phone booth😆...but I much preferred the MB version...quite nicely choreographed...it was sweet like you said, and at the same time showed the connection b/w the characters...chemistry came out well...heck I toh even found symbolism in the usage of that...lol...Madhu sorta putting herself inside this "cage"...the way their hands are moving in sync along the glass...the thin barrier that seperates them...then he himself enters the "cage" and they have their romantic "moment" so to speak before Madhu runs away in quintessential Hindi film heroine style😆The other bit I liked was from Madhu's bedroom scene using RK's dress coat as a prop, when she slips in arm into the sleeve and then turns around with it, and then the hand clutch. For one it was a change from the usual dance with heroes clothes plain dance, and for another, I quite liked how it came out. DD definitely emotes her best while dancing. Anyway bi, as Nurey says, I'm the "DD fan here" 🤣 But ni, amazingly, for all the cheese and dreams and luv-shuv in this episode, it was decently executed, particularly not overdone, and I suppose RK's guess-my-reaction face sometimes has some role to play in how romance doesn't come in an overdose 😆 LMAO what a perfect description...the 'guess my reaction' face...cryptic, isn't he? Sometimes totally BLANK...it was only after watching that scene a second time that I noticed he DID have expressions...albeit very VERY underplayed nuanced ones😆...but you're very right about how that helps underplay the romance and not make it TOO cheesy.
DD fan...haha...arey nahin even I think she's doing a good job...she uses her eyes quite well...and yes she's at her best while emoting in the dance sequences...shows her dancing bg.@RK's reaction even in Madhu's dream - I found that quite interesting in fact. Technically, Madhu does have some fair idea about how RK could react to her being in love with him. It showed in the earlier scene this week where she caressed his face walked away, then turned around a bit alarmed like she could feel his eyes on her and then back again with a relieved smile thinking he was asleep... She can't help the way the sentiments are absorbing her own self, but there is some part of her which remains aware of the most likely reality of this situation, for now... and I guess the dream in a way sees RK's reaction for what she subconsciously expects it to be...On the same note but other hand RK's own reaction in the morning to finding Madhu caressing his face was - apart from being hilarious 😆 - quite credible! I love how these nuances are so true to their respective characters. RK hasn't fancy dreamed about Madhu the first time, so that faint si smile on his face when he just comes around can be assumed as a subconscious drifting thought of her witnessing her face in front of him. But the alarm kicks in, almost on cue of Madhu's own reaction, not just because he's spooked by her paap ki bhavna 😆 but because, yes, like you pointed out Nur, she has now seen him seeing her, and he can't just fake sleep and bask in the glory of the moment secretly 😆Such a perfectly nuanced moment to show the wall he's not willing to drop, but in some form of self awareness, a warmth beyond it that he does like... So he's not entirely a person in denial - he's just not as far gone as Madhu - but the sentiments brew, and he isn't disregarding them as much, as he is unwilling to have Madhu catch him at any such point. It's like he wants to stay in the safe cache of enjoying someone's unconditional sentiments for him without letting that person become privy to the vulnerability of his true bliss, not out of doubting Madhu herself, but from having been too scarred to not be reflexively guarded. Beautifully worded, Jzeee! 👏👏👏...The upper hand, that you also mentioned somewhere Nur, which he retains in their bond, at least currently is not his tool of power, as it is his shield. So long as he can control the flow of sentiments, he feels safe enough to let them prevail. Within himself, he's mostly okay, even warmed by the general attention he gets from Madhu. The right that he had exerted on her initially out of revenge has long undergone a transformation and currently his sense of exerting right on her is like a fond part of their relationship now, for both of them... Innately, they are both needy souls, and that's where despite whatever walls threaten to come between, they don't end up suffocating each other with their occasional enough unusual ways! Totally agree...very well said once again :-)

Khair, on account of Madhu and RK, that bit was sweetly done, and I hadn't thought of any symbolism, but yes, for what it's worth, even that fits them. In general, like KSG going shirtless, DD ko bi sexy saree dressing ka excuse chiye, but at least MB found a better suited to script context 😆 LOL oh yeah I've seen the obsession with DD's back in the forum...Madhu is already becoming more glamorous...haha...heroine banne ke baad pata nahin kya hoga...but anyways like you said, it does work into the script better than KSG displaying his steroid pumped muskels at the drop of a hat🥱😆Interestingly, the latest TB article about him has a mention of how his mother only now believes/justifies his talent as an actor - and I have to say can't blame her, given how his last great stint with fame was as an insipid vampire 😆 LOL I just went and read that...decent answers...seems like a pretty simple and focussed guy...is he already married to Vahhbiz or is he engaged to her? Either ways, the guy is MADLY in love with her😆...seems a bit young to have gotten married though...oh well...even Mr. Sobti married pretty young I guess😆You did say the concept was from the same guy as LTL, right? Guess that says something. Yeah the concept is from the same guy...the producer of MB was the creative head of Colors at the time that LTL was conceived but obviously the PH was different...but you can see the influence concept-wise in MB for sure...On another note - returning to MB - I visited that forum for I think the 2nd or 3rd time today, randomly, and found this post:So while the tone of it is very evidently a Mahi Man's chamko vs Bland Vampire contest between opposing fangirl groups, she does raise some points that are obvious sense. I didn't actually dwell in the forum, but people are seriously debating over wanting RK to turn a negative/vengeful character? Don't they understand the grey of his character is in being complicated the way he is? The accepting but guarded guy? If the title was used with any thought, Madhu is obviously the "ishq" of this story, and RK the "junoon". Personally I think the story is going to launch itself on the eccentricity of RK as a character and not introduce an unfounded "abusive" side to him. So the love stories only justify themselves anymore once the hero gets unbelievably cruel and the heroine beyond idealism punishing and forgiving at once?!I don't agree with the post cutting a heroic figure about RK either, but anyway, I wish the script itself has better plans of showing balanced credible grey in both Madhu and RK, than catering to extremes for melodrama... Their equation has already grown past eruption of blind revenge mode, in my opinion. They have a fair share of personal and interpersonal demons to fight out.
Oh I didn't see this post but yeah there was a similar post a few days back making some prediction about RK doing this all for some far-fetched revenge...haha...seriously I don't know what show these ppl are watching when they come up with such far fetched theories...there has been genuine character evolution and the writing has CLEARLY shown that...still ppl want conspiracy theories...lol...and I even read some ppl saying that the show was getting too sugary sweet😕😆...and here I thought they were doing a pretty good job as of now of balancing things out and keeping them both in character.*edit*forgot to say. Nur, your current set of avis randomly reminded me of this song -And the siggie is beautiful! The line from that song is so apt, figuratively, and in the case of this scene, even literally! Aww thanks, Jazzay! Yeah the song suddenly came to while watching the scene again and then I had to make something on those lines...LOL@ the mud mud ke na dekh song...haha yeah I can see why the avis would remind you of that...I thought that was a cute bit in the epi too...an interesting exchange b/w them as Madhu makes her feelings more obvious without REALLY trying to be obvious but it's like she can't help being all happy and slightly blushy wushy😆...and RK is watching her in a slightly confused and then slightly bemused manner😆
