I just saw a Rom-Com I had recorded on TV called "A Christmas Kiss". I kept wondering where I had seen the lead actor (coz he looked so familiar), until I looked him up and realized that he had played "Jared Booth" 😆 Decent movie btw if anyone is interested...not the While You Were Sleeping class, but similar category...

@Rafi: Yeah unfortunately there are no permanent great shows to watch...jo bhi thodi der ke liye theek thaak chal raha hai, woh dekh lo...lol...so I'm watching until Ekta inevitably crappi-fies this pairing too...haha

And yeah that's why I upload the VB scenes seperately so I don't have to wade through the rest of the crap to watch them...lol

@LadyM: LOL really? Aww man, the days of Jared Booth...a whole another era of Bones *sigh*

Waise today is that epi when Brennan gets shot and is hallucinating about her mother...it's a good epi so far.

kekta louuu stories are toh dooomed for sure. BUT they start GREAT . Woman has a knack for picking leads with DAYUMMM fine chemistry.

So I just downloaded Real from CNet Rafi, but the downloader seems to be a separate download I have to do? Do I need the player for the downloader at all? And yes, thank you, please do share the account details for YT. That makes life sooo much easier 😆

Nur, DM is definitely easier than those other IF links, you're right; but I meant in comparison to YT... or even channel webpages like the one Star has...

Yes, the writing DOES justify it all in character for RK...THAT is the beauty of it...they've made it worthwhile! This is not some thoughtless twist! It is a GENIUS masterstroke and they've pulled it off superbly! I also want to see a bitter, vengeful Madhu...for THAT will REALLY be a departure for DD too rather than playing the OTT Geet-extension that she somehow brought into Madhu too in these last couple of months...oh HOW fun would it be to see these two square off EQUALLY bitter and broken? Now THAT would be a fight worth watching...He's almost remade her in his own image like you said...

Was reading some discussion where some ppl were saying that the biggest blow for RK actually would be if Madhu remains as compassionate and forgiving as she already is...and that makes sense too...but I don't want that to be that way currently...ofcourse she'll retain her core traits inside...but for NOW, the story NEEDS a Madhu on a vengeance mission BIG time...like he was FUELED by his need for revenge and did so much in the process, it is only HER need for revenge from him that can push her towards achieving great heights as a heroine too.

Exactly! This is the one thing that always seemed worthwhile in this show...the writing for RK's character...and these ppl just kicked it up MANY notches by going with this twist...cuz he IS twisted and eccentric like that as you said...as an artist, his God complex, his narcissism...all colliding with his obsession with her...proving to be a very dangerous mix...this is far, FAR more interesting than watching a typical bad boy becomes good after falling in lowe story.

And yes, like you said, the fact that they JUSTIFIED his thought process so well...the systematic way in which he went about trying anything and everything to break her...and finally realizing what he needed to do...

WORD WORD, Jzee👏👏 And Heathcliffe IS indeed the hero that came to my mind instantly as well...the writers deffo seem inspired enough to dare to push the lines with this character beyond typical desi stereotypes and pick from classic tormented heroes too...a very, VERY different kind of DARK hero indeed! I for one can completely understand his need to break Madhu as part of his character...and I loved the digs he took throughout his speech at the emotional fools that women are...that this isn't some movie where a KAMEENA like him will fall for a girl like Madhu😆...I love the paradox that he keeps repeating this isn't a movie or fiction, this is reality when in fact the show is the EPITOME of filmy in many ways...😆

And all that said, some of the BEST lines from these episodes - oh WHAT WHAT WHAT lines this character gets 😆 They never fail!!! 😆 TOTALLY...I was just THOROUGHLY entertained in this epi by his lines...they need a museum of their own😆

Oh yeah, that was really sad...honestly I think they did a pretty good job of showing both sides...Madhu's heartbreak which makes your heart go out to her and RK's sheer brilliance as you said...they didn't sugarcoat it at all...you feel each barb that hits Madhu as RK flamboyantly goes about breaking her piece by piece.

I'm not sure if the show itself plans for a happy ending, but in my personal opinion, a Wuthering Heights spin off version of ending would be more fitting of a story like this one. I can't imagine a humanly reform in RK which could actually make him what he was pretending to be during his weeks of fake love. Of course Madhu's transformation will be a direct influence on his life in some drastic manner, but I can't imagine repair and reform to really be it...
Oh that's funny you know cuz for some reason I can REALLY imagine his reformation now😆...I might be the only one but I can kinda see it...cuz the fact is, despite the LTL parallels, THIS particular twist actually is VERY reminiscent of the Prem-Mukti storyline😆...cuz Prem really pushed the boundaries too and had his own need to make Mukti bow her head before him...ofcourse it wasn't as dark as RK's character in that sense...but today I did get deja vu...and I think the asli twist in this whole twist will be that the joke's on RK...lol...it will take him a while to understand what actually was real and fictitious in this "maha game" he himself played...so the thing is, we DID see bits and pieces of the real RK in those weeks too...but the man is TOO twisted and in denial to admit it easily anytime soon I think...other catalysts will have to be brought into the story.

Cuz think about it...have we really ever seen RK broken yet? There's that too...I think HE needs to hit rock bottom too before he can rise up to reformation again.

@extended fake love track - I guess they did bank in a solid audience with that part too. MB in this soppy phase has risen in TRPs like at no other time of its airing. So they secured their audience, and well, and then threw in the twist which was always in pipeline. I think it was a good move, strategically speaking then... And since the last two episodes do in fact make a great case out of the "need" of the overtly fake love track, I guess it's all fair. Like you said, the sheer audacity of pulling off something so outlandish is impressive, and doing it with SUCH conviction, brownie points! 👏

@Kameena falling for Madhu - Oh mannn!!! One of my FAVORITE lines has to be "jis aadmi ne tumhari itniii band bajayi, ussi ko jakar khoon de diya?!" 🤣 There's this BRILLIANT overlay of nuance in what makes RK a self contradiction. Like you indicated with that video, about how where the line blurs between reality and revenge is so complex - RK, entirely consumed as he was to PROVE his point which lay not just in revenge but in making a MOCKERY of the ideals MB has lived by, is even more pushed to make his point, the more she pursues her ideals against the extremity of his behavior. He mocks her in this dialogue, but fact is that what drives him, and drives him so compulsively, is not "evil" but this pathological NEED to CRUSH her idealism, and for a while he can only watch his efforts go in vain. He is like an atheist who so strongly opposes the belief in God, that any evidence of his existence will disturb him to the seams of sanity, till he has proved it otherwise. His falling from innocence has been so steep, so bitter, that any evidence of it unnerves him - and in Madhu, he finds that untouched virtue, one that he must crush, because it stands in such mocking contradiction of what he has lost and buried. What he rues and laments and hates with every fibre of his existence for not being his anymore... It's not conceiving the idea but executing it that really, really wins!

@Conclusion - I'm not going to say they won't become a Prem Mukti case, because that is so much more likely to happen than what I say on Indian TV; but my point is in terms of what I find more credible. To me, Prem Mukti were, as RK kept saying, something that happens in fiction. The strains were beautiful, all the more in the phase of his reform. But there is something real and dark about extremity, which does go beyond a point of no return, an eccentricity, that cannot really be undone entirely, because it is not a reversible process. To have a conclusion in finding RK to be a broken spirit, yes. Wasn't Heathcliff one by the end? But a reformed one, no! I really would, for once, actually LOVE to watch an end that remains dark, than resolved. But I doubt it can, or rather will, be the case...

Btw Nur, thanks for sharing that post from the MB forum, wonderfully expressed it is indeed! 👏

Dang! such good discussion going on about such a good MB episode and I'm so freaking busy to even pop up online🤔.

anyhow, it was surely a very entertaining episode and I loved reading you guys' detailed discussions about the twist and the RK's character. I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes too. Seems like i might have something to watch on desi end for now😆.

I think what I meant by reformation was realization...a broken spirit, DEFINITELY...and to me that's part of his reformation...for him to be that defeated and having lost EVERYTHING...although yes like you said, given that it's a show and everyone wants the happys endings, it's doubtful they'll go that route...but to me that would be interesting to watch...the bitter angst and tragedy...him realizing just what he's lost in the process and it being too late...I would never really want to see a sappy RK...but I think an RK that realizes what he has lost and attempts to get it back is believable still...whether he succeeds or not is another story...lol
