Congrats everyone on the 88th CC! 🥳

Anu - thanks for making it 😃

BIWI...just one word and it conveys every emotion that RK wants to convey...from exasperation to affection to bemusement😆

Eggjacktly Anu! RK has come a long way. I kinda like his grey character shades as long as the makers don't compromise it by showing him being unreasonable like Mr. CT 🤢 I still dunno what Ms. Jalebi saw in him to literally "fall" in LOWE. CT was irrationally abusing Jalebi-bai without any moral code. Whereas RK has a layer of his own twisted moral code at least! The word "BIWI" has come to mean SO much, just like "SAAB" 😆 I don't know if the PH realizes that every day simple words like these become powerful identifiers of that particular character - given a good script. I cannot imagine RK calling MB anything else now ...

I also like the way that bit was shot and enacted...when she asks him in concern if there is still pain and he gives her a long intense look but then shifts into bemusement and starts mocking her with filmy dialogues...and that is what puts the spark of anger in her again too...as if that was his intention all along...as if he'd rather see her angry at him than showing him any kind of concern or sympathy...

That's what I kinda find HOT about RK's character. He'd rather have her spirited/miffed than see her morose/sad. It gives him a perverse satisfaction to mock her to the point of irritation. She almost always takes the bait...and when she does, you can see the tell-tale amused look on his face. For some weird reason, Vivian seems to be doing this part well.

@Amy: LOL yeah Chemical wife was hilarious...also loved his dialogue at Dips, "Tumhari aankhon mein yeh gandi si CHAMAK kyun hai?"😆

Oh Anu - I LOVED this dialogue 😆 Totally paisa vasool 👏

LOL LadyM, they WILL hype up the drama quotient in every scene where the vamp and the heroine face off...uske bagair toh soap101 not possible😆...

Haan ji - yeh baat toh sach hai! They have to give us a combination of ALL characters. As long as they don't ruin RK's I'm fine. Going by LTL's record we know that both MB and RK will have to walk the fires of hell before they realize their true LOWE for each other.

Btw speaking of the LTL parallels...lol there is one for every character in some sense...Bittuji is a limp version of Baaji...unflinchingly loyal to his Chief...Dips is a limp version of Kala...doesn't have that level of layering or flair to her...she's just shown as a one-dimensional despo lech dying to sleep with RK😆...Radha ji is deffo Aai Sahib-lite...same problem of pendulum-giri😆...Kukku+Sikki combined are substitutes for Sudharshan...the great Suds himself...who can beat HIM🤣...and the lead characters...not the same exactly obviously...but RK's been made larger than life by putting him in a movie background while Dutta's larger than life persona came from him being a don...Madhu also has the tragedy of being "unwanted" from her childhood with her own father trying to get her killed...similar to Nakusha who's name literally translated to the "unwanted"...in her case ofcourse they used the black color as basis for all her problems.

Now that you mention, it all makes sense Anu! Although I like Baaji more, I like Bittuji's fierce loyalty to his Chief as well. 😊 It's good to have some allies...A person can't live with so much hate around him... LTL se yaad aya ... Yesterday I was watching the DN reunited scene where Dutta goes blind ... it was such an amazing episode...Loved to hate Kala 😆 The funny thing was that I was noticing every silly thing about her ... from her make-up, to her saree, to her style of walking, dialogue delivery, to the man standing with an umbrella behind her, to a table with two apples and a knife placed beside her chair where she had come to coolly watch DN being executed! 😆

I so dislike the pendulum type "MAA" characters though... the female protagonists HAVE to HAVE a soft corner for them and will bend over backwards to please them, the male protagonists either eat off their hands or despise them, whereas they themselves happily blow in the direction of the wind between loving-hating the female protagonists as the script demands.

QH today- Ok so shirtless KSG was completely unnecessary but I LOVED the last bit where Zoya subtly teases Asad. She made him so uncomfortable. HAHA! I also kinda like how the kids (for the most part) of the families don't really care about their parents' differences with each other. Hopefully they stay together and don't create unnecessary drama later on.

WORD Mitsy 👏

I liked yesterday's QH episode for the same reasons. I like Asad and Zoya's opening scene where she directly asks him what's his problem and replies back in kind to his brusqueness...also managing to have a last word. The shirtless scene was unnecessary, but liked that Zoya wasn't the typical chui-mui si heroine where she blushes to the point of stuttering, acting idiotic and making a fool of herself, whereas the guy walks on winking back at her confused/embarrassed state in full glory 🤢 Those scenes are done to death on TV and in every romantic M&B type novels. It was actually both refreshing and hilarious to see Zoya teasing Asad, and Asad a.k.a. KSG a.k.a. the biggest cheapster actually being embarrassed. 😆 This is so un-like the KSG of CMG-era ...

@ Veera
I guess I cannot watch Veera. There are no links and I dont get Star Plus anymore 😕

Ditto!

Arre nahin ... I haven't watched it yet... will watch it in a bit and report back 😃

Btw ... I realized that I wrote almost the same stuff about QH that you did in your reply to Mitsy 😆

You're welcome, LadyM! :-)

Re: MB...lol yes it is the LAYERING in the writing that puts this show a bit above the usual love/hate stories on TV...and once you watch today's epi, we'll talk more but I have to say that was a very well written scene today...acting wasn't that bad either but I'm most impressed with the writing...the WAY they show RK opening up...Madhu's tenacity and the graph of the scene...the way she WON'T back down even after he pours his entire life story out to her but that too in a TYPICAL RK style...never DIRECTLY...everything in an almost half-musing manner like he's talking to himself...going off on tangents in b/w and leaving it to Madhu to fill in the blanks...the build up to that final moment where Madhu doesn't back down and won't let him get away with this typical indirect replies and wants an answer upfront as to WHY he trusts her so much and didn't punish her father...that is as direct as she can get from RK at this point...his answer said a lot more about his feelings for her than he himself realizes...and they showed that part very well...just how difficult it is for this character to put himself out there...Madhu basically WRENCHES this answer out of him...and even that was probably way too much revelation for him...but you read b/w the lines and you can see that this admission to her from him today was as powerful as anything he can say about his feelings for her.

And THAT is what moves Madhu to the point of realization...again I'll say...GOOD writing...to the point that even the 'tujh mein rab dikhta hai' song used in the precap DOES add up.

Re: LTL...LOL oh those epic scenes...haha...gotta love LTL for all the unintentional hilarity there used to be in the scenes as well...haha

LOL good to know we're on the same page vis a vis QH...yeah Zoya really amused me...the girl has a very charming smile when she's in a mischievous mode like that...only thing I didn't get was the random "jaane kyun log pyar karte hain" from her in the end...oh well...

And so much word with you on the point about the BUILD UP being something NOT done well in most shows...CT-Jalebi nonsense toh was pathetic...and that is where surprisingly MB is doing so well in showing Madhu's realization and the build up of feelings b/w them as well...the feelings aren't based on two manhandling "hawt" sequences ki lo ho gaya "pyar:

Today's epi again showed that Madhu was moved more by his WORDS and what those MEANT and IMPLIED to her than him cornering her a million times and that apparently meaning that she's in "lowe" now.

It was a spectacular episode Anu! I totally enjoyed it...excellent direction, good dialogues and more so outstanding scripting of the scene... I could totally feel the pain after RK peeled layers after layers of his wound. I hope the makers realize like we do, that this is as far as RK will go - for now. I was impressed with Madhu's forbearance today. She was like a steadfast rock in the pond that RK was trying so hard to agitate with pebbles. She pushed him to expose himself to the fullest extent. The tujh mein rab dikhata hai song seemed appropriate for the situation ... Only negative comment to the otherwise powerful script - script was the king today...acting-wise Vivian wasn't bad, but he wasn't wow either...Mishal, Kunal Karan Kapoor etc could've taken the scene to further heights. But I don't want to dismiss Vivian or discredit him either... he's doing a good job as RK.

Looks like it's only you and me here today...baaki sab "Like" kar ke bhaag jaate hain...or maybe the MB discussions are scaring everyone away😆

Re: the scene...oh YES I was totally thinking while watching ki MR would have blown this one out of the water *sigh*...Kunal is really good too but this was a scene MADE for MR types...you need that larger than life PERSONA to go with it...Kunal excels more in the everyday brusqueness that was Mohan...Another actor who'd have done superbly in this scene is MB...Manoj/Karanvir Bohra I mean😆

But yes, Vivian wasn't bad...infact better than I was expecting him to be given that the scene had complexities to be portrayed...what saves his acting most of the time is that he emotes with his voice...he uses it well to portray the pain or the vulnerabilities of RK along with the turmoils inside him.

But there were some lovely dialogues today portraying RK's state of mind...especially the ending one when he talks about his own soul-less existence and never wishing that on anyone..."Aisa toh main apne bade se bade dushman ke saath bhi nahin hote dekhna chaahoonga toh tumhaare saath kaise dekh sakta hoon?"...Very good dialogue where RK basically indirectly told her how very much she means to him...as he tells her he wouldn't wish this existence on his worst enemy also and least of all her...DD did a very good job of showing the shift in Madhu's eyes there...infact in many scenes she uses her eyes well to convey the changing emotions in Madhu...😊

Btw did you hear about the new BTS segments? They are using Pareshaan for Madhu's realization...looks like a good scene...I was just thinking yesterday only that this song is perfect for this phase b/w RK-Madhu.

I think the promo is out as well but no vid so far.

bold - that is because Zoya heard Asad apparently whistling that tune (totally off key) while in the bathtub 😆

I totally get it Anu. Madhu is a strong and sensible, yet sensitive girl. She has started to understand how the psyche of RK works. How, although his words and actions may not match, he is a man who has grown through pain and yet has never feared to expose his wounds to her. And that is what moves her. Although his methods may not always be appropriate, he is a person with conscience. The fact that he came for her when she was shattered, humiliated, and acutely distressed and was wandering aimlessly during the night, is something that she cannot overlook. Whereas he cannot overlook her integrity, her actions and her faithfulness to him, although she had her reasons for hating him. So today's epi indeed shows how far along they've come... and how her actions and his words implied a lot more than some HAWT scene ever could! Bravo to the script writer 👏

Ohhh he was whistling THAT tune? LOL I toh couldn't figure out what he was whistling at all...epic fail and totally off key😆...and in that bit toh I was like ismein thodi si Armaan ki aatma phir se ghus gayi hai😆...ok then it makes sense why Zoya would sing that song to tease him...haha...thanks for explaining, LadyM.

Re: MB...beautifully said👏...and it is this very complex build up that gives their relationship credibility as they've found their way to each other through all the ups and downs.

Today was a day of closure as well as the beginning of a new chapter for them. Madhu NEEDED to know why he did this...she wouldn't have rested easy until she got her answer and getting the answer she did has opened a new floodgate of emotions inside her now leading to the next chapter in her feelings for RK.

RK for his part is not in the emotionally stable state to fully understand his own heart...his cynicism and the reason for that cynicism was well explained today...basically showing why he's come to trust Madhu so much but at the same time the cynicism very much remains alive in it's way...after the "hat-trick" of betrayals he's been through, the very fact that he trusts Madhu so much is huge for him...but he's not at the stage to understand his heart beyond that...why she's become so essential to his life...he declares emphatically that she is his wife but they are both yet to broach the topic directly of HOW that relationship was forged through that farce of a ritual...those questions will also have to be directly confronted at some point.

As of now, it remains to be seen where they take the story post Madhu's realization...she will invest herself in this relationship more than ever now and grow more protective of RK in her own way I guess while he too continues to be protective and possessive towards her like he is anyways right now...the unsaid aspect is good...it won't be fun to see RK directly verbalize anything anytime soon...Madhu's realization is a good twist for now.

Yes Anu you are absolutely right! This scene required a larger than life persona and Kunal excels as the guy-next-door...MR would've totally given it justice. He was mind blowing at playing the larger than life Don. I was watching some old DN scenes yesterdays and his hugs with Nakku never seemed HAWT or cheap. They seemed filled with all consuming love. As if in that one moment, there was no one else, even air, between them. That's acting! 👏

Yep, like I said, Vivian wasn't bad. I don't want to discredit him. He's done a great job considering his previous resume. 😃

Absolutely! They were such soulful dialogues - I was moved as he told Madhu that he wouldn't wish the same fate even to his staunchest enemy, then why would he want to see Madhu in that state? Blue - the later part of the dialogue you've stated, made it apparent that Madhu means a lot more to him than he lets on...marvelous dialogues! I just can't stop raving about them. 👏

Pareshaan from Ishqzaade? Not bad ... I haven't heard about the BTS segments unfortunately. So it'll be Madhu who realizes... LOL all I had read was an article that either RK or MB would realize. Nice song...do post the vid here if you find it. 😃
