They haven't given any details about what the show is about...it's all shrouded in mystery...but I'm guessing it will be about a journey through India...it's a weekly show...every Sunday morning...like TV used to be in the old DD days when I was growing up...only one channel and one Sunday morning show that the entire country used to watch.

The video makes it seem like Aamir will be travelling all over the country and will have stories about it from various parts...something to reflect about, something inspirational, something motivational.

I think if anyone can pull this off, it's Aamir...it can be really fantastic...I'm really feeling excited about this now...hope it's good! I read that it will be telecast simultaneously on SP as well as DD which is the only non-cable channel in India so that the show reaches the maximum number of ppl it can.

I'm so in love with this song now!! 😍

@LadyM-- nope it's on Star Plus and it's going to air from 6th May at 11am. I was a bit surprised at the time slot but i guess it's one of them morning talk shows like how we have here...may be. It's Aamir, so there wouldn't be any silly gimmicks...hopefully. Lets see how it is.

LOL that's Arjun-Purvi...I have mentioned them a few times in here and even posted vids for Zainu...tum sab logon ki delayed reaction hoti hai humesha...it's not a new show...they are from Pavitra Rishta...I've been watching that anyways cuz I get the channel...I mainly discuss them with Jzee cuz she likes them too😆

Oh ok...that's what LadyM meant by "based on ..DD1". Sorry i had no idea about that but I do remember my grandparent talking about how there used to be one premier channel back then with quality shows and stuff.

@Bold--- Oh! i would very much LOVE that. I always like to watch such "journey" shows and I believe that there is a difference between those and plain old "travel" shows. and you're right about Aamir being the person who can really pull this off well.
Looking forward to 6th May and yes the song and the video is aesthetically AWESOME.


@LadyM--- Yeah the video sort of eludes to the theme of show, capturing the raw and natural essence of India through the common man.

Watching a vid like this always makes me marvel in AWE at the sheer diversity in our country naa?? And I feel this vid isn't the usual "get ppl from various parts of India to hold a flag" and make it patriotic like they do in some Vande Mataram type vids...there is like a REAL flavor to this...an EARTHINESS in it...and this GENUINE emotion on Aamir's face as he interacts with everyone...there are softer/reflective moments also that make it stand apart...it doesn't seem jingoistic. I'm excited!

Yes it looks genuine ... it looks Indian. I'm super excited too. If it were anyone other than Aamir, I would be a little leery... 😊

exactly Anu! that's the thing i loved about the video the most---the fact that there was a sense of Indian-ness and patriotism without the overtness such as carrying the flag and stuff like that.


Besides, it'll be refreshing to see it through the Indian lens rather than the Western Lens which tends to focus mostly on the "stereotypical" aspects about the nation and its people most of the times.
