Well

i am thinking about the backstory...

and here is what i feel...

the father...fell in love some girl..and left home...
the mother unable to take the pain committed suicide

anjali's wedding was cancelled due to all the notoriety...

Nani took over looking after them after the chachaji threw them out

So Arnav thinks all women are gold diggers for his father fell for one...

and he lost his family because of that..

well so far..this is how i see it!!

Hm yeah that could be true
thats probably why he said to anjali dont leave me like ma, bcoz i've noticed those people who leave never come back but he dont mention his dad at all
i totally love the brother sister relationship they have!!

Yep

i feel the father is alive

somewhere..

and with a woman...

but technically his father has left and not come back..as well

so...there.he has lost his family..and is bitter and has grown up knowing how love can be destructive
