Same here ... I thought both he and Shakuni Mama were brilliant in Mahabharat! In fact, I liked ALL the actors in Mahabharat, expect perhaps Yudhisthir ... the actor made the character look silly and sorely tainted, when in fact he was supposed to be a true Dharmatma, like Ram. Anyhoo, will watch the show with the two of you :-)

Edit: One quick mention - who is the actor playing Vikram in BALH? He looks good and is a decent actor as well.

Amy - Re: Kesar, kesar, kesar - I couldn't agree more 😆 Sometimes I silently lurk around here these days

LOL now I'll REALLY try to avoid the Kesar Kesar talks if you guys are so driven away😆

You went to Houston? I think Fivr is from that city too...I've never been there though...most I've seen is the Dallas/Fort Worth airport😆...Yeah it's a huge city...I can just imagine how crazy the traffic must be and given all the stories I've read about how crazy Texans drive😆...it's a country unto itself...baaki U.S. ko thodi na maante hain woh...cowboy culture😆

@LadyM - aw, thank you so much 😳 I toh just spill my internal thoughts while watching the eps in the hope that it will make some sense 😆 it's just lucky for me that most people there seem to understand my sense of humour and/opinions.

@Anu - yes, another mytho (!) but as you say, Puneet Issar is awesome and there hasn't been a decent mytho dedicated to Sri Krishna since...well, Ramanand Sagar's Sri Krishna which had THE cutest Bal Gopal I have ever seen 😳. But mainly it will be interesting to see PI as another pivotal but negative character.

@Vas: Yeah Punit Issar was awesome as Duryodhan in the original Mahabharat...otherwise I don't really follow mythos much so haven't watched the Sri Krishna one either...the production values are SO cheesy in general😆

Nahin yaar Anu - I don't mind the discussions at all ... if you folks watch a serial together, which I don't and discuss it in here - no big deal yaar ...

I actually went around in a cab. So didn't get into the jhanjat of driving around. I know what you mean about the cow boy culture. When I was small I used to read these tough love cow boy novels and be mooney...😆 But aaj kal toh I've become somewhat of a cynic. Perhaps its the age thing ... *groans and shifts uncomfortably*

Lekin ...Talking about the Texas sized food portions ... meri toh hawa hi nikal gayi looking at the size of the plate. I think had DH been with me, we would've ordered just one dish, one appetizer and called it a day! Lekin yahan par, I had no option but to throw away the left over food - which I hate to do, but kya karen? It was just too overwhelming!

Vasu - Your sense of humor in those posts is rather cute, I must say. It almost always brings a smile to my face :-)

Vas, I know you've read this too...just posting it in here again...W*F is Ekta thinking?? Now we have to watch these PSYCHOS ki "lowe stories"?? Ughhh

Suyash in Bade Achhe Laggte Hai

Suyash Kumar, aka Neel who is busy making life hell for Panchi in Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani, has bagged a role in Balaji's latest show Bade Achhe Laggte Hai on Sony.

Viewers have loved the recently launched show and Suyash who has already stated shooting for it, is on cloud nine.

An Indya source reveals, "Suyash will play Akash, Natasha's ex-boyfriend from London, who dumped her in the past. Akash will return to India after finding out that Natasha plans to marry Karthik. Once back, he will spare no chance to make life difficult for Natasha and Karthik as he is determined to win her back. Suyash who plays an NRI will have a sleek and stylish look in the show."

Suyash confirms, "Yes, I have already started shooting for Bade Achhe Laggte Hai and my character will make an entry on Monday. Akash is a little eccentric, basically the male version of Natasha. I had auditioned for the role of Ram Kapoor's brother Siddhant but that character had to look 28-29 years old and I look too young for it. When I was offered the role of Akash, I immediately accepted it as the character is of my age."

However Neel's fans need not worry as Suyash reveals that he is not leaving Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. The actor says, "It is difficult managing both the shows as I am shooting back to back but I don't mind as this (acting) is what I always wanted to do in life. Bade Achhe Laggte Hai has recently been launched but is already doing so well and I really wanted to be a part of it. I am glad my wish got fulfilled."

Watch out for Suyash as he is all set to play baddie again, this time in a new avatar in Bade Achhe Laggte Hai.

Oh Houston! my uncle lives there. We went there 2 summers ago. You see so many desis there!😆 My uncle and aunt took us to this place where there are all these indian shops and restaurants and stuff...and you see desis walking around like in india😆
Same with that one place in LA. There's a whole strip of desi shops and restaurants there.
Even though there are 4 or 5 desi restaurants and indian groceries in my city, you still don't see that many desis as you see in Houston or LA or NY or NJ of course.

And believe what you're talking of is Hillcroft.. Lol! Desi galore! 😆

LOL theek hai phir...with your permission, we will continue to "kesar kesar" away😆

As for king sized food portions...woh toh I think is a general American thing...I hardly ever manage to finish a full entree at a restaurant...the sizes are too huge for me...usually I also end up ordering appetizers or some kind of light pasta dish😆...otherwise it's always left over and I have to bring the rest home...haha

I have no idea how these ppl manage to eat SO much😕😆

Yes, I think most actors were excellent in Mahabharata, especially Nitish Bhardwaj as Sri Krishna, Gufi Paintal as Shakuni, Roopa Ganguly as Draupadi and RENUKA ISRANI, aka Shipra/Bat-mommy herself, as Gandhari ! 😆
