hey alina
Hello friends!
I know, I know. These past few month have been a little bit hectic, with lots of things going on. Just hold on, I will explain.
One of the things I have been getting myself into since coming back to school is taking a shot at the world of banking. Yes. That's right, I am recruiting again. The reasoning behind this, my friends, is the following: you can only get one MBA experience and after an unbelievable summer internship in management consulting, I still feel there are a few things out there that I want to explore before committing to one area in particular.
See where I am going with this? My tendency has always been (and will always be) to be very curious and learn as much as I can; because after all, I only get one life to live and NO, I don't want to regret anything.
Remember: "you regret more the things that you didn't do, than those that you did", so I have put some "considerable" hours into researching, putting up informationals, and interviewing with some banks in their corporate and investment banking divisions.
So far the process has been harder than expected, but with good results since I have been invited to second round interviews in NY, and some first rounds a few days later. So very calmly and with an open eye I am carefully reviewing alternatives to management consulting. Don't get me wrong, please. This is the main purpose of life (from my perspective at least). Challenge yourself, move away from your comfort zone and reach way above.
This is why I love Stern. Once you know you have accomplished something, a different challenge pops up and makes you try to see if you can also get that. This can only happen here, this can only happen if you are doing an MBA.
