Hey Sarah! Yep most shows around the world run for shorter durations than overdone desi soaps I guess....they're all kind of like short movies/mini-series types....which is probably why the content is of higher quality.....I've still never watched a Korean/Taiwanese show though....lol....I was going to watch this one that Zainu had recommended but I never got around to it and when I checked back one day, the vids had been deleted from YT :S lol

Rishta.com was a very rare quality show on Indian TV that can compare that way cuz it too was well planned in advance and shot that way....that is why it was so fab.

Ah you've never watched a Korean/Taiwanese show? If/when you have the time or the inclination to watch one, do give Why Why Love a try. I think it has around 20 episodes in total. Very well written and enacted! Nimmi recommended it to me a few years ago. It was on YT back in 2008; not sure if it's still there now ... lol

Rishta.com had such good production values. I've actually seen people here who generally despise Indian soaps, praising R.com for its novelty and brilliance.

Oh cool I'll try to look for that show then :-) Got a long list I now need to watch.....Malaal, Daam....then this show....lol

Rishta.com was freakin fantastic.....NOTHING on desi TV can compare....they were in a different league...so classy and intelligently written.

I'm thinking of watching Malal and Daam when I get the chance. It's been ages since I watched a good desi show with a definite ending, lol. And I need to go back and finish watching the rest of the R.com episodes. I believe I watched it only till the 6th or 7th episode.

Yeah I watched the very first season....the one with Rakhi Sawant, Kashmeera, Ravi Kishen etc. etc.....when the show used to air on Sony.....never been very active on the forum but I guess it will be pretty active and snarky.....the forums for these kind of reality shows usually are. Since then I haven't followed any season properly....just watched a few clips here and there. From what I gathered, the first season was the most entertaining in a way despite all the crazy nautankis these ppl pulled....it's cuz after the first season, ppl got smarter about the game and how to play the audience voting for them.....the first season was very bare bones with all the scheming and tactics that would go on....

^ Oh okay. So I guess this season will be chaotic too. See the thing is, the channel mod for Colors asked me if I was willing to help out with the moderation of Big Boss 4's forum. I thought chalo reality show hai, it'll end soon so why not. It was later that I found out that the forums get kind of crazy. Thank god I'm not alone though. There is one mod, one viewbie and one channel mod already on the dev team, so that's a relief. :P

Btw I love your Brennan/Angela and Booth/Brennan avis. Prettiness galore!

Ohhh so you were asking for the forum perspective cuz of moderation considerations? LOL....well yeah in that case I would warn you that fights do break out b/w fans of various contestants in the show....but obviously nothing to the psycho star one forum levels....I guess you'll be able to handle it....especially if you have experienced ppl to help you out :-) All the best with it :-)

I'm downloading the Bones episode via torrent as we speak. My sister and I plan to watch it together tonight. I couldn't watch it on its original air date because VD airs in the same time slot. :P

Bones is repeated later in the night on Thursdays but I decided to download it to avoid the annoying commercials.
