Nupur Bhushan in Miley Jab Hum Tum was one of those characters which has gained immense popularity among the TV audience and her pairing with Mayank Sharma's character in the show only made her even more so.
There are two components to the Nupur Character to have made it the kind of legend among the younger crowd as it is today. First it's the way, it has been sketched, which such striking, contrasting characters, all bundled together in such a delightful package. The second, and last, but def. not the least is, the actress who played it, that is rati Panday. This lady brought this character to life in such a way, displaying every small and big nuance in her character in such a way, that it is difficult, if not impossible to believe, that anybody can play her character as well as she did. It seemed like the role has been specifically created for her.
Her character is nothing like you would expect. She is from a small town but her dreams are big. She acts brash sometimes and is always seem ultra confidant but inside, she is soft, kind and generous and loving to a fault. She has complete confidence in herself and in her dreams and in her prince charming and in her belief in getting him. She has no great interest in studies but has the capability to top it when needed. She can take on the devil when her loved ones are threatened but she also knows when to be soft, sweet and caring when needed. An example is, she dreamt all her life to be a heroin, and would do anything to get it, but when she realizes her sister got the opportunity instead, she was there for her sister whole heartedly, and then she turned her big heart to look around for a different dream to pursue and even succeeded in achieving it.
In essence, in this time of regressive female characters in the serials today, Nupur Bhushan's character has come out like, not just like a ray but a blast of sunshine, blowing the accepted standards or regressive females out of the water, and showing that a girl or woman can be portrayed, both as strong willed and still retain her femininity, have the heart to dream big and can fight tooth and nail to achieve whatever that they want and that a woman in no way is less than a man.
And thus the character Nupur Bhushan cannot be talked about without talking about Rati Panday as to whoever has seen this serial and this character, would synonymously agree that, to the audience that there can be no Nupur Bhushan without Rati, and that to them, it is almost one and the same, as she seems to have put her heart and soul into that character in such a way that to us, the audience, this character is not simply a character, but a living breathing person, whom they have fallen in love with and have shared deep emotional bonding with.
And now, on one fine day, the audience have been informed that this character, whom they can never imagine not seeing for more than a little time, at best, have been informed has been abruptly terminated, and that too with no warning. I cannot at present find the kind of words that would begin to express their shock, heart break, pain and disappointment.
This is a serial that is watched by huge loyal, mostly young audience as this was supposed to be a youth based show. These are the very people who spend most of their time, supporting the show and are the reason for its TRPs. For them, this show is synonymous with the two couples, Mayur, Sajan and their characters.
Credit goes to the channel and the production house and the creative team for the wonderful job of giving them such actors and characters that were brought to live for them in such a way that so many people have fallen for them and have developed such a huge fan following. I wonder why are wanting to terminate the very character that they have created so lovingly and which in turn, was reciprocated by the audiences with adoration, love and admiration by the very masses for whom the character has been created for and into whose character the actress have infused so much life with her dedication?
Thus, it is the fervent hope of the masses and would be in the channel and production house best interests, that this character be resurrected again and by the same actress so that you can heal the heart break of so many and regain the love the audience had towards them for giving the audience such a character.
