old watches actually .. the best ones are those on air for for a couple of months now ... so havent caught up with them ... new ones,.. that new Samiya Mumtaz show ... havent been able to catch any epis either

for now i m watching two Indian soaps ...Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus and Geet on Star 1 ... both going well so me sticking to these two for now😃😃😃

Arre, why should you be sorry ? It was a light fun question over a curious coincidence. Yes it is LOTR…my earliest favourite along with Silmarillion and Hobbit, and so when I first hit this thread your moniker hinted about your favourite, but then I thought you might have other reasons to select the moniker when you did not respond to my earliest rhyme re your name.( "…elven maid…").

The picture I have selected, far earlier then I have visited this thread, is that of 'white ships leaving for the last time the harbor of Lindon ( nestled in mountains in the picture), leaving their fair evening star forever in mortal lands.

LOTR is also my fav ... back in 02 or 03 ... i was watching FOTR and didnt get it so stopped watching it ... bought the novel .... read it and than watched all three movies 😆 read the Hobbit later ... and still ahave to read the Silmarillion

i read another work instead ... Unfinished Tales .... stories that Tolkein left unfinished ... or ahd alternative endings off ... they have been edited by his son Christopher like much of the posthumous work

Actually it is one of a few beautiful paintings with LOTR scenes, I have come across. Besides, I loved LOTR movie's two songs''Enya' and 'Nightwish', where passing of the elves from the earth in faint shapes(fading) on their ways to Lindon is beautifully sung.

From Unfinished tales to Children of Hurin, I am catching them all when I can, but none came nearer to LOTR and Hobbit.

agreed with ur last point .... nothing compares to LOTR and Hobbit ... the others however r a fascinating read ... a reflection of this man's genius 👏

me loved Aragorn in both (obviously) but i also loved Faramir of the books and Boromir in the movies 😊
