hey usha kita cute hai tumhara beta....so true...is hisaab ne to kabhi peecha choda hi nahi......zindagi bus isi ke ird gird hi ghoom rahi hai sabhi kee.......is ke bina kahaan kuch baaki raha aaj kal..

chalo i am going to do two things in this post ..

pehli meri apu se mohabat ki vajeh aur doosri surjit pattar ki kavita ka anuwaad.........

i will try to be brief ...as its a open forum...when i came to Canada a severe depression hit me.....i am sure u can relate to this ,nayi shaadi, naya ghar,naya mahol aur upar se naya country....😕

something made me feel that i need to get my license to practice fast so us depression mein i did not watch tv for 5 years...u can say literally nahi dekha..😲

then i had become almost clinically depressed despite having a good work and even a child....to keep me busy..undino my cousin suggested watch some tv...just watch one show...light sa romantic sa..

she picked this kajjal for me with apu in it..

i started watching it half hr a day ,4 times a week...my thoughts started to disperse....i started loving apu's character Dev and started to think in creative way,my creativity that had been suppressed with those sudden changes in my life...came back.....everything to siggies ,video mixes and those poetic posts, i have to thank apu for it..

some how that makes me feel very loyal to him...😕😉

so uska har forum i feel meri duty hai 😆😆😆

kya karein ..

pyar koi bol nahi,pyaar aawaaz nahi

ek khamoshi hai sunti hai kaha karti hai,

na yeh bujhti hai na rukti hai ,na thehri hai kabhi

noor ki boond hai sadiyon se baha karti hai..

sirf ehsaas hai yeh rooh se mehsoos karo...😉

so sakhio i have bored u enough....now lets translate the poem...i will write hindi and English translations both..

main raahaan te nahi turda..

main turda haan te raah bande ne

(main raaste pe nahi chalta..

main chalta hoon to raasta banta hai)

yugaan tak kafile aunde..

mere sach de gavah bande

(yugon se chale aa rahe kafile hi meri sachai ka pramaan hain)

jo lo mathe chon futdi hai..

o asli taaj hundi hai

(maathe se nikalta hua prakash hi asli taaj hota hai)

tavi de takht te beh ke hi..

sache patshah bande ..

people who conquor impossible tasks are the real kings

basically he took example of martyrdom of 5th Sikh guru arjan dev ji by mughal king jahangir in city of Lahore,on banks of river Ravi,he was made to sit on hot tavi(bigger than out tava we make rotis on...its used in Punjab to make multiple rotis at once)guru ji had sat on tavi and then went to river and according to legend no one could ever find him after..his kurbani is considered ultimate ...so poet here basically calls that people like guruji r real kings..

eh pundit raag de pichon sadiyaan baad aunde ne

mere hauke hi pehlaan taan meri vanjli de saah bande.

raags composed by learned pundits ...did not exist first...long before these ragas...my deep sorrowful breaths became tunes of my flute....long before that

main rahaan te..

je ranjhe na vi hunde taan vi na bande asin kaidon..

asin ya naath hunde ya asin ludan malah bande..

here he tries to take example of punajbi folk lore heer ranjha...

he says lets say unconditional and emotional lovers like ranjha did not exist...

even then people like me would never become villains like kaidon(kaidon was heer's chacha and one who ruined her)

instead i would have been some one like gorakh nath jogi (he helped ranjha emotionally after heers wedding ) or ludan malah(he was heer's boat rower and a kind hearted man who convinced heer to let ranjha ride in her boat...when both heer and ranjha met for first time...)basically its a message of positivity in this stanza..

main rahaan te..

hope it brings positivity it conveys...

i remember u mentioned a bit of this in MRD forum .. don't remember the context (i think it was a reply to Jyo) but it was something abt the fact that u watched Kajjal during a really difficult period of ur life ... i was curious but didnt want to intrude hence never asked the whats and whys .... so this was it 😊 arey its not pagalpan or anything .. chalta hai 😆

the rest of ur post ... didnt read it bcos i want to go in order ... listen to the song .. and the poem skep wrote and than this 😆 read the anecdote u wrote ... he is a truly humble fellow 😊

Awww Sami dear, 🤗that is such a touchng story ,.,......

I can understand how it must have been .... When I got married and moved to my hubby's place ... I felt the same ... and I was in India ... just in another state !!!

That too was sooo strange to me ... new ppl, new language, no friends, hubby out for almost 10 hrs a day, to top it all my MIL is a very orhodox person and I lived in constant fear of doing somethimg that would annoy her !!!!

Sometimes I shut myself in my room for hours together !!!

My saviour was books ... I took to reading with a vengeance ...devoured anything and everyting in sight !!! 😆😆 ... then slowly got out of it !!!

We humans have the capacity to deal with anything fate throws at us .... only a catalyst is needed ... and Apu was that for you !!! .... I have seen Apu only in Radha ki Betiaan ... he was awesome there too .... sooooooo tender / caring / sensitive ..... his scenes were a treat to watch !!!!

Thanks for sharing this Sami .... its a source of inspiration .... 🤗
