you don't intentionally cry. I didn't cry the whole time but after I had said yes and everyone came to hug me, I couldn't even talk. I think you just cry because the feeling is overwhelming (excitement+nervousness+happiness)
@sidra, In Pakistan I have seen them do 3 itmes kabool hai but here the imam only asks once.
