1.The 9pm slot of the show- GECs like Star Plus, Sony , Zee, Colors RULE this one because of their reach to a wider audience unlike Star One , a channel which some people do not get. Also its mostly the older age group that would prefer to watch shows like Bidaai (which is the number #1 show) at this time with their family.
2. A youth show is anyway targeted at a select group only , so I think the makers of such shows are mentally prepared on some level that they will never achieve the TRPs which the family shows on GECs would.
3.Its mostly urban audience that watches these shows, small town n village audience do watch it but the % is not as significant as the urban audience.Let's say 80% constitute the urban audience, discount half the audience from this % as they are in the older age group, we are left with only 40% and amongst this 40% I think only 25-30% manage to watch MJHT in its prime time slot everyday. So it all comes down to a maximum of 50% audience watching this show on a regular basis (assuming that the 20% follow it without fail). Now given the recent track, at least 10-15% would have stopped watching this show which means only 35-40% are still watching it. However, the GECs' top shows on the other hand , would not have seen a significant drop in their viewership which means their positions on TRP charts would have remained more or less fixed . Simultaneously some other shows (which have started recently) would have picked up and climbed up the TRP charts thus kicking out MJHT from the top 100 list.
