@ kavya...just what i was...all my friends in college had been thru 2 or 3 boyfriends at least before i even gave myself a chance.

just thought of something...zainab's shakal explanation is so true for everything...even love!!

@ tanu...yup, he is playing a small role in madly bengalee! i should be around...donno though....

so going forward, if you guys want more that is...one break up is yet to come!!

@Zainu: I am laji too LOL. The moment I feel a different vibe from a guy friend, I draw a line LOL. Plus , most of my guy friends say that my eyes scare them - they are like "why do you keep giving such dangerously angry looks to us?" 🤣🤣 And I am like " I don't do that intentionally or on purpose- I just see(literally that is) like any other normal person, now if you think that is scary what should I do? "

@ zainab, yeah we weren't great friends in school or anything, but love on the internet did not happen overnight, it was months and months and months of 4 or 5 mails a day...each one trying to outdo the other in terms of wit! (which is where my inherent desire to see something like that happen for MN stems!!) we developed such a strong bond of friendship over those few months, that after that, come what may, the friendship was never affected. the first time he hurt me. the second time i hurt him.

so we were back together and since neither of us liked sneaking around our parents' backs, we told them. but his parents were sooooooooooooooo happy that that unhone shaadi plan kar di. date fixed, venue fixed, everything. now hubby was already settled in terms of a job and a career. he had already finished his CA finals with a rank, so he believed he was ready to get married too.

but i wasn't ready and i flipped, chickened out and called off the whole thing. did not defer to a later date as suggested by him, but insisted that since he had not stopped the proceedings which incidentally happened without my knowledge, i could not respect him. so for the second time, we were off!!

@ zainab...am not a very private person! so please do not worry! aur kya kar loge tum log is information ka? bas mera naam jaante ho! if it ever ends up as a book, i will only be happy!

so one more break up, and this time it was a little more serious, cos families were involved. his parents were upset, my parents were upset, but thru this, hubby dear, after telling me quite clearly that he did not appreciate my behaviour, continued to be my friend. because he said that was independent!

a year went by, i completed my MPhil with great difficult because this was when i was also being stalked in typical movie fashion by a psycho on campus. i never thought i would get thru the year and submit my thesis cos he also hacked into my mail account and deleted all the material i was storing in there for my thesis, because those days, CDs and Floppies were highly unreliable.

anyway, i successfully completed my MPhil and came to chennai because i had to go to tirupathi to offer my thanks. by this time i thought myself incapable of making right decisions about my life and asked my parents to find me a guy. they were looking and hubby and i met for a coffee on the first day of my break.

we met everyday after that and the fog lifted. i realised that every time we were with each other in the same room, i didn't want to spend time with anybody else. we made each other laugh like crazy. we took the most trivial issues to the most intellectually stimulating arguments possible and still didn't hate each other. we had broken up twice, but this man was still in love with me...and ultimately that is what one wants from a partner. at the end of my vacation, nothing was discussed but i told my parents, he told his, i apologised to his parents and within 2 months, we were married in a small intimate ceremony in a beach house!

that was nearly 7 years back!!
