I think that's rather obvious, Real Life has many grey shades, which would make the serial quite boring, while the overdramatic serials have either black or white shades, which makes the whole package seem interesting.

Mrs. Potter, I'm not bothered by any theories. 2 asteroids barely missed earth in the last 10 days. One was like only 75,000 km away, that's considered a near-miss. We don't have anything to stop them 'cos we never see them early enough. And if something is coming from the direction of the sun, nothing can detect it because we're blinded by the sun's brightness.
