As far as I know, There is this theory which is spreading like wild fire all over the planet - The Mayan Calender ceases to exist beyond December 21, 2012, and The Planet 'Nibiru' has been predicted to collide with the Earth on that very day.

According to me, it's all crap. I'll see you on December 22 :)

@ Mrs. Potter: I'm not worried abt the Mayan Calender. 🤣 I'm worried about 99942 Apophis which could collide with earth in 2012, 2029 or 2036. If it's on a collision course in 2012, we don't have enough time to prepare for it.

OK, I read a few articles & the basic understanding is - 99942 Apophis Asteroid is a NEO ( Near Earth Object ) & was earlier predicted to collide with Earth in 2029, but scientists have ruled out that possibility & say that it will only pass through the Gravitational keyhole (Which will change the course of the Asteroid) & chances are that it might collide with Earth on Friday 13, 2036.

But none of the articles mentioned that the Earth would come to an end, and neither was there any mention of the year 2012. Did I miss something ?

EDIT -

I just read another article, It says that the impact of these asteroids could cause the Earth to shatter into minisucle pieces, i.e into infinity. So I scratch my above statement about the Earth not coming to an end.
